Through the rhythmic elements of China traditional folk drumming and drum performance of folk opera, and adopting contemporary rhythm with vibrant percussion performance techniques, the song depicts the scene where “The wind moves the drum, the dew wet the metal armor” as written in “Cong Jun Xing” by Tang dynasty poet Wang Changling. With the sound of drums, this piece brings you back to the scene of drums at the Great Wall and the rallying of soldiers on the battlefield.
