@@goddyfame3424 You are missing the point bc I don't think you understood the system. Based on *their* criteria, she wouldn't have been scouted & have had the chance to grow and improve, to show off her talent. There is no flexibility score, just like there is no strenght score - that's about the style of *training.* Old school gymnasts had different routines than Biles, they focused on grace, artistry & precision. That's why Nadia Comăneci could score a perfect 10. It wasn't focused on strenght & maxxed out element difficulty, like Simone's style. Where it doesn't matter if she makes big mistakes (like stepping 2 times out of bounds in the same routine, or falling off the beam), bc the difficulty score will still be high enough to win a medal. That would've been unthinkable in the past. Arguably, it makes the sport *easier* and less complex to just focus on 1 thing - strenght. Always pushing for the increased difficulty, to get a high starting score. It was different in the past. Simone is just the best of *this* generation.

@9:32 - So far, this reminds me of that part of the movie, Iron Man when the genius, Tony Stark was able to build an iron man suit in a cave, and then someone else in the movie was trying to get a group of people to build what Tony built in a cave, but they couldn't do it. The "someone else" yelled at their people, "Tony Stark was able to built it in a CAVE!" Then they yelled back, "we aren't Tony Stark!"
It isn't original. It's a copy of the GDR and Soviet system. Find possible athletes in young age, detach them from society and place them in camp where coach is god. Probably use doping too and use political clout to cover it up. This system works great in many individual disciplines, especially gymnastics and aquatics while having little result in team sports like Football or Basketball (China is weak in most of those). In reality, relative to the Soviets and GDR in their time China is lousy. Those countries were consistently above the US in their medal count. What's still strange is the weakness of China in Olympic martial arts. It looks like the CCP doesn't want them to become popular. It was the same in USSR and GDR where martial arts training wasn't available to the public.

American people has USD to make all the kids and people who rich or middle-class has money and time to do their sport. on the other hand, China normal people they study 300 more days and American only study 180 days a year. So I’m saying is if China has the world currency and make all the money from the world. They don’t have to go to school for three hundred days, I have more money and time like American. Which Chinese people could support their own to do the sport too. Where do you pay or not? It does not mean they don’t have the real ability to do the sport. For example, can you ask an African-American to get 100 m swimming and gold metal. All, can you ask American to win the running hundred feet and break the record. The truth is no matter what paid it or not paid it or you do it yourself or whatsoever organic different type of people will be good at different type of things. And in China, they do have all kinds of talents of people. And I’m so sure there’s a lot of talented people in this world in every country. But if the government don’t put their hand on it, who is rich like you, United States, who has the world currency to rule the world. So that people has time and money to just play sport.

The Chinese people revere the idea that 'a general's success is built on the bones of thousands.' Under a totalitarian regime, anyone can be sacrificed for a so-called national goal. Therefore, in any school, only the top elites can enjoy privileges. If you are an ordinary person (an average student), then, unfortunately, being scolded, subjected to corporal punishment, and humiliated becomes routine, and teachers and parents will say, 'It's all for your own good.' If you are lucky enough to truly become a shining star at the top, you will still live in fear, because your position can be replaced by someone else at any time, and you could fall from grace at any moment. This is also why even Chinese emperors could never feel at ease.

Threatening anyone that regards Taiwan as a sovereign nation is not the same as a country denying its sovereignty. Taiwan is a great country and is regarded so by all the people of America.
