China's outbound Foreign Direct Investment is in transition, from a focus on major logistics investments (ports, railroads, highways) to fixed asset investments (factories, income-producing assets).
This shift is evident in the ASEAN countries of Southeast Asia, with large projects coming online in Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Laos, with more planned for 2H of 2024.
