People get confused between race and nationality. They are two different things. Races are definitely related to a place, but it has nothing to do with whether it not you were born there. Nationality has to do with where you were born, regardless of your race. Africans are of the negroid race. Chinese people are of the mongoloid race. Europeans are of the Caucasoid race. Each of those races originated in different parts of the world, Africa, Asia and Europe respectively. So to be of particular race it matters where your people and your DNA originate from, not where you were born. I was born in the United States. I had my DNA tested and nothing in my DNA test said indigenous American. The majority of my DNA said different regions of western, central and Southern Africa, even though I have never been to Africa. So even though I have never been to Africa, there is no way I can deny being African or of African descent. If that Chinese lady were to take a DNA test, I seriously doubt it would say “indigenous Jamaican”! I’m sure it would say China and/or some other Asian regions. I think most Jamaicans DNA test results would be like mine, mostly African, since the Jamaican population is about 90% black. Now your nationality, meaning where you were born has nothing to do with your genetics. It has to do with birth place and culture. So yes, there are cultural differences between different black people based on where they were born and the same goes for other races. Some people may choose to only identify with their nationality and their culture, some people may choose to identify more with their genetics. I just think that all of those things matter. Your nationality, your culture and your genetics all matter equally to me. As a black person walking around being treated the way black people are treated, I cannot deny being black because my skin says so. I choose to identify with all the aspects of me, the African part, the American part and I also have Portuguese and Spanish genetics, and I can identify with those culturally as well, because it is also part of my culture. So I say, people can identify with whichever aspects of themselves they choose to identify with, but they cannot dictate to another person what that person should identify with. So that Chinese lady cannot tell a Jamaican person that they are not African if they choose to identify with that aspect of themselves.

@@suntanglory suntanglory what tribe ? Don’t you understand- blacks lived in all parts of the civilized world up to just 300 years ago when whites came out of the Caucasus mountains and caves. History is whitewashed- Israel is occupied by pretenders- who are Khazars - not real Hebrews. The American Indians were black and not red. And no such thing as African slave trade. Enslaved people were black and were moved around the Carolinas, Barbados and Jamaica - 3 points to the slave triangle backed up by common DNA. There could have been a few Africans making it over the West but nowhere close to the 12 to 15 million- that's plain wrong. If anything, barely 100.000 real Africans came over just like real Indians who came to the Caribbean. My mum's ancestors were from India and came to work. Normal journey not strapped to the bottom of a boat. Cargo ships were only made in the 1800s. History is wrong. Biblical history is black history and vice versa.
