The uncle is doing tahyatul masjid pray.. that's why every masjid he entered he pray
@PhazeyBlur

Yes, it's a sunnah prayer?(?not sure if the prophet did it first, my memory is rusty). If you do it, you get extra pahala (merit points) for success in the afterlife insya-Allah. Also a nice feeling like "I did tahyatul masjid in every mosque I visit in Yunnan, alhamdulillah." Edit: sorry, not replying per se, just adding more to your point.

Yunnan, China's land of eternal spring, flowers everywhere, it's beautiful and the people are friendly. I went there once and hope to go there again, with my family this time. Malaysians are usually very happy to see Muslim Chinese and how you keep your faith strong after all these years and how you have classes in the mosques to teach Islamic education. The teenagers that I met in Dali mosque spoke a little bit of Arabic but much better than my very basic Arabic.

Due to health reasons i don't even drink coffee anymore. When i was in college i did drink coffee more than tea because i had to study. Coffee culture in Malaysia got big only in the past 20 years but wasn't like that before.

The research discovered that the Malays in these sub-ethnic groups were genetically composed of some Proto-Malay (orang asli Melayu), Semang and Indian DNA, with at least 20 per cent Malay and and 52 per cent Chinese DNA. "This finding corresponds with a theory that these Malays originated from Austronesia in Yunnan, China," Professor Zilfalil said, " with the first wave of migration from Austronesia to Southeast Asia occurring in 25, 000 BC and the second one in 1, 500 BC".

HUGO Pan-Asian SNP Consortium Maps Genetic Diversity in Asia Most populations show relatedness within ethnic/linguistic groups, despite prevalent gene flow among populations. More than 90% of East Asian (EA) haplotypes could be found in either Southeast Asian (SEA) or Central-South Asian (CSA) populations and show clinal structure with haplotype diversity decreasing from south to north. Furthermore, 50% of EA haplotypes were found in SEA only and 5% were found in CSA only, indicating that SEA was a major geographic source of EA populations. Researchers screened each sample for more than 50,000 single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs)-sites on chromosomes where a single base can vary from one individual to another. The number of variations, or haplotypes, indicates how closely related two individuals are genetically. The authors conclude that humans migrated along a coastal route from the Mideast to Southeast Asia and from there moved north, gradually adapting to harsher climates. Most East Asian haplotypes - some 90 percent - turned up in Southeast or Central-South Asia. But more of these haplotypes were unique to Southeast Asia: about half of East Asian haplotypes were present only in Southeast Asia, the researchers reported, compared with the five percent of East Asian haplotypes that were found in Central-South Asia alone. Back in school, we were taught a theory that some Indonesian people’s ancestors came from Yunnan, China, while almost all (in recent centuries) Indonesian Chinese came from Fujian or Guangdong. quite interesting. Yunnan could be an attractive tourist destination for many Malaysian/Indonesian Muslims.

There's 3 theories. Yunnan theory is the strongest but theory is still a theory. Not a fact. You can search about proto malay and how they migrate to south East Asia. They indeed stop at yunnan before moving to indo-China and give birth to malay and cham people

Some said many scholars from Yunnan came to Kelantan to spread islam..looking at the masjid which was built 700 years ago..very logical
@boboboy8189
6 сағат бұрын
That's wrong fact 😂 The one who built masjid 700 years ago is wali songo. If you read histories about wali songo, they came all over the Muslim world to teach javanese about islam. One of the wali came from champa and built the oldest masjid in kelantan then he migrate to java Island. If Islam came from yunnan, why Malaysia including kelantan using madhab syafi'e? China Muslim using madhab hanafi. But if you said intermarriage between yunnan Muslim and malay is possible because pattani use to receive a lot of yunnan traders back in the old time. Before Tanah melayu got independence, there's alim ulama married yunnan Muslim for example allahyarham pak su mid kedah, he marrying yunnan muslimah and got children there.

Not all malay. You obviously only read something that align with your worldview. Malay race is vast just like Chinese and Indian. Malay not just live in Malaysia but also can be found on everywhere in South East Asia, from Southern Vietnam (used to be champa kingdom) to whole peninsular (including South myanmar) to east sumatra, to west and middle java, to northern sulawesi, to north borneo, to south Philippines. There's differences among malay if you look at their skin and facial features. This is because some malay got mixed either with another orang asli or ethnic or with migrant like Chinese, Indian and Arab. To conclude malay originate from one place, you need to take every malay DNA to test. In Malaysia alone, we got around 15 million malay unless government forcing every newborn babies to take DNA test, I dont think we can conclude that to early. I also read few weeks ago about proto malay is not from yunnan but they migrate from middle East and passthrough yunnan which means there's a chances that intermarriage happen with yunnan people. But this thing long before central asian live in yunnan under Yuan dynasty. This fact also coincide with theory that keturah's children is from middle East and was send to land of their ancestor (champa) to spread "agama hanif" Meanwhile this is my personal believe, if malay got yellowish skin means they came from champa, kra isthmus region while brownish skin malay is from orang asli descendant
