Galenki Village in the suburbs of Vladivostok in the Russian Far East is a small farming village near the border with China. Since the collapse of the Soviet Union, vast tracts of farmland have been left unattended, and as the world's food situation is becoming more and more competitive, neighboring countries are competing to acquire such farmland. Japan, too, has begun to look to this region as a stable supply source for soybeans, replacing North America and other countries, and has begun to consider local production of soybeans.
However, there were already "frontrunners" who had already put down roots and achieved results... neighboring South Korean companies and Chinese nationals. Migratory "farmers" from neighboring countries have flown across the border to this untouched land in search of wealth, literally "settling in" and engaging in agriculture, and their numbers continue to increase year by year. The number of these "migrant farmers" is increasing every year. The farm owner, Mr. Sun Yong, a Chinese man, organizes these farmers who have crossed the border to make a fortune, regardless of the undeveloped and extremely cold land. The camera closely follows this young businessman who has succeeded in farming in a foreign country!
The Russian people are increasingly bitter about the ways of these migratory Chinese peasant farmers. The struggle for food is truly a fight to eat or be eaten. China and Russia are economic superpowers. The camera closely observes the insatiable thirst for wealth and the battle over food on the border between the powers over a period of six months, delivering a masterpiece of undiscovered economic documentaries (broadcast in January 2016).
