I trained a bit with some top junior team in Beijing some years ago and those kids had really solid techniques. When they get older this is the type of stuff they can do. It's all about techniques to build up the form and power over time, and minimize injury.

Thanks for posting this, great video! One interesting thing I noticed was that there were almost no 25's or even 20's used in training, they just stick a ton of 15's and 10's on their bars. Anyone have any idea why this might be?

Yatin, the guy who originally posted this and other Chinese videos from his trip, said it's because it requires extra stabilisation to deal with the increased whip on the bar using more lighter plates. I imagine it's also convenience, it's a hassle to pull off one set of bumpers to add a different pair, then maybe have to reverse the process again if you go up or down weight each set... much easier to stack on or remove another 10.

Because its easier just adding a couple extra plates when you raise the weight. Everyone does this.

at 46 seconds video says 70kg, but I count 80kg (yellow 15 + green 10 + small disk 5)x2+ bar 20 =80 kg I might be wrong about the small disk but that is over 70kg anyway

It's 75 because women's bars are 15kg. 15s, 10s, 5s, 15 bar = 75.

Female bar is 15kg. The small discs are 2.5kg so total is 70kg.
