It's a public school lol. Chino Hills isnt a private school. Anyone can join, probably have to audition to get in.

Chino hills takes piccolo snares and gut them to give them a bass sound so they blend in with the bass drums. Other than sounding bass-y, they usually play whatever the snares play just slightly watered down. At my school they're called toms but they also go by flubs. We take drums from an old set of tenors and use those for toms, the only difference being the appearance haha. They usually are for the people who didn't make the cut for upper battery or bass and are preparing to move up to a different drum the following year :)

no, i believe they're marching toms designed to help people play slightly watered down snare parts to help them for their next season if they want to do snare, pulse percussion used them at the end of their 2010 show "worth the wait"
