I've seen it in person. The quality is insane. I don't know how many other 24 years olds like myself grew up watching the movie but I seriously geeked out seeing it.

Beautiful. My favorite childhood movie - that car always has a special place in my heart. I had the large Corgi one as a kid (sadly, no longer have it because I actually played with it all the time.) What a fantastic job you did. Congratulations. Seeing that gave me all the feels.

My absolute dream car. If I could I would offer the owner of the original anything it would take. I was hoping this was going to tell me I could get a replica. Amazing that you built this yourself. Thanks for writing! Every angle of photography looks different, she's measured at almost 17 feet long, and built on a 1914 overland chassis, so we built it as close to specs as we could, trust me, she's gorgeous and well represented. Besides , 3 mores inches and we couldn't have room to store it!! Ha!

It's a fantastic piece of work, and I only have one little quibble. She's a little short in the nose. I think the original Chitty is just a tad longer. Other than that, it's an incredible thing that he's built. Just beautiful.

youve made a fantastic replica.......im currently making a chitty chitty car from sugarpaste (icing) which will be placed on a cake for a baker shop window display this Christmas....my model is approx 12 inches long and highly detailed with open wings and picnic basket,etc.....im hoping to assemble it within the next few days.........have spent approx 30 hours so far making all the little detailed bits for it.......wish me luck making the arches tomorrow from gumpaste LOL.

An original owned by the car's maker sold for about $850,000 some time back. It didn't sell at action but afterwards a deal was made. He could probably get at least $200K for the replica.

skip j king using same computer as dari l; it takes considerable devotion and dedication (and lots of quid, mate)to make this. You know about dedication because you were a peace officer(thank you for your service!) May i also impart that there is another great parallel to the 1967 movie-you took a totaled car and saved it from the recycle people who might have crushed or melted it ,if not at the very least, parting it out. You , however, used what appears to be an original drive train, standard shift, instead of putting a ford anglia motor in it-which you can't buy over here anyway! In my book, this puts you a bit ahead of the other chaps. The original grille you used is a bit more stout than the bugatti type grille on the originals, but so what/-you did a superlative job on everything including that. Protect that thing!

Wow what a nice job it's absolutely an amazing replica if I do say so myself. It's actually most likely better than the original one. The dedication that must of taken is just something that's kinda hard to grasp. Great job cheers

The time and workmanship and dedication it must of taken is absolutely out of this world. I had fawn memories of my mom reading chity chity bang bang to me as a young boy. To see this car built the way you did it makes the original kinda look second best.

it's almost a prefect recreation, but he forgot the three props, the two on each wing that rise up when the wings come out and the one in the back, but other then that small detail it's an awesome wort of art,

It's cool but the chassis is visually too short it doesn't look quite right from the side the film car had a longer wheelbase. This is obvious when you look at the length of the aluminium bonnet it looks snub nosed.
