Chocolate Cake Recipe | How To Make Cake Without Oven | Three Layers Cake |
Here's a classic chocolate cake recipe that’s rich, moist, and easy to make.
Ingredients
For the Cake:
1¾ cups (220g) all-purpose flour
1¾ cups (350g) granulated sugar
¾ cup (75g) unsweetened cocoa powder
1½ tsp baking powder
1½ tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 large eggs
1 cup (240ml) whole milk
½ cup (120ml) vegetable oil
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup (240ml) boiling water
For the Frosting:
1 cup (230g) unsalted butter, softened
3½ cups (420g) powdered sugar
½ cup (50g) unsweetened cocoa powder
½ tsp salt
2 tsp vanilla extract
⅓ cup (80ml) heavy cream or milk
Instructions
For the Cake:
Grease and flour round baking pans.
Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, stir together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Wet Ingredients: Add the eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix on medium speed for about 2 minutes.
Boiling Water: Stir in the boiling water last. The batter will be thin, but that’s okay.
Bake: Pour the batter evenly into the prepared pans. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cool: Let the cakes cool in the pans for about 10 minutes, then remove them from the pans and cool completely on a wire rack.
For the Frosting:
Butter and Sugar: In a large bowl, beat the butter until creamy. Gradually add the powdered sugar and cocoa powder, beating to combine.
Flavoring and Cream: Add the salt, vanilla extract, and heavy cream (or milk). Beat on high speed for about 3 minutes, until the frosting is light and fluffy. Adjust the consistency with more cream or milk if needed.
Assembly:
Layer and Frost: Place one cake layer on a serving plate. Spread a layer of frosting on top. Place the second cake layer on top and frost the top and sides of the cake.
Decorate: Decorate as desired. You can add chocolate shavings, sprinkles, or leave it simple.
