As an Operator, the chokers should never be choked different directions what it's called a reverse choke. the straps or chokers should always be choked in the same direction so that they render down on the load and not pull against each

@@BLINDROOSTER312 There is no "right way". There are definitely wrong ways, but theres no single right way. Rigging loose bundles opposite can be dangerous, but rigging a beam opposite is one way of getting it to sit level in the rigging. Peoples opinions of what is a the "right way" often depends on the industry, as many "right ways" are considered such because they are best for the longevity of the rigging, but in certain situations the longevity of the rigging takes a back seat to the safety of the worker at the other end of the hook. I'm surprised you don't know this, as an operator. So you work with it iron workers? How about Divers? Do you do much marine work off of barges? Are you in a local?

IMHO the edge protection shown here is inadequate for all but grade 120 chain. Chain requires an edge radius of at least the same as the chain radius (for all grade chains under 120) Flexible steel wire rope requires the edge to have 5 times the radius of the FSWR Soft slings require the edge to have a radius of at least 3 times the compressed thickness of the sling. All the above information is from Australian Standards and (in the case of soft slings) from the manufacturer Spandex.

Ummm... if it did, the chain could easily slip out of the hook.

Diaxdia/162 answer is kg/Mtr then you can multiply the derived kg by total length of rebar, then you will get weight of one full length of rebar.
