4 to 6 Servings
What You Need:
1 lb of boiled or canned chickpeas
1 cup of diced tomatoes
½ tsp of Spicytude Garam Masala
1 tsp of kashmiri chili powder or any red chili powder
1 cinnamon stick
2 bay leaves (dry or fresh)
2 tablespoons of olive oil or any other cooking oil
1 cup of finely chopped onion
½ tsp of salt to taste
Step 1: Sauté onion and spices
Heat a pan over medium flame.
When hot, add two tablespoons of olive oil.
Add chopped onion,cinnamon, bay leaves, kashmiri chili powder, Spicytude's Garam Masala and saute until the onion is golden brown.
Step 2: Cook
Next, add the chickpeas, tomato, salt and stir all the ingredients together. Cover the pan with a lid and let cook for ten minutes. Serve this chickpea curry with rice or bread.
