Thank you Linda It would be interesting to see what the past chop and drops of large woody mulch look like at soil level now . It's always a treat to see your hard work and permaculture principles paying off.

Great idea - I'll have to include that sometime - it all gets hidden under huge weedy species but there is improvement happening down below!! Thank you 😊

We are still getting frosts and the blossom on my apricot tree was looking a bit sad this morning. I thought that I got a late blossom tree but doesn't look like it. Oh well it will be good for the birds to perch in the branches.

Oh Lorraine that’s a bit sad! We go to all the effort to get these trees in and growing - is it too much to ask for just a few fruits to enjoy!??

@@huttonsvalleypermaculture if we don't get any more frosts but that may be too much to ask. Fingers crossed as it was laden with beautiful blossom. It's too big to frost cloth cover and it's on land I own which is 120 km away from my house sigh. The other trees look good though =-)

How l9ng do you let your mushroom compost age before using it? I used what I thought was aged chicken compost and it burnt my plants. Kathleen Mary in Medowie nsw

I probably let the mushroom compost sit a couple of months before planting into it - it definitely needs to be cool. Yes chicken manure can be way too hot in terms of nitrogen - usually I put that through a compost! Thanks for watching 😊

I have a looming disaster about to hit my fruit tree orchard. A Stack of monolepto beetles have moved in . Past experiences from the 1970s tell me how hard it is to control them, May have to get a flamethrower

A flamethrower may do the trick however perhaps a little extreme! Disappointing when things seem to get beyond control - good luck with it!!!

Is it the acacias at 5.23 you are asking about? If so they are blackwood acacias -Acacia melanoxylon

I'm not 100% sure - bought lots of tube stock at the same time & didn't keep a track of them :( but I think it may be a variety of acacia cognata
