This nocturne in B major is believed to have been composed in Vienna in 1830-1831 and is the only Nocturne marked allegretto meaning Chopin wanted the melody to flow along smoothly. The agitation section brings music that is almost menacing and maybe this is the reason why my Indian ringneck parakeet bird screams during my performance.
