Francisco Tárrega (1852-1909) was one of the most outstanding guitarists of his time. He made numerous arrangements that helped to endow his instrumental with a “classical” repertory. Among his most significant transcriptions are the works of Chopin, seldom performed today, which reflect the important place the legacy of the Polish composer already held in the period.
