Bravo !! It is really very well performed. I have experienced how this prelude is difficult, and your left hand is really perfect : only few pedal, piano from the beginning to the end ... Eveything fast as the wind ... You demonstrate a true talent here !

@@JoelRossPiano Oh wow, you're taking on the famous E flat nocturne! That's exciting. It's definitely one of the best pieces ever written. I look forward to hearing your interpretation! I'm currently trying to finish Valse-Caprice No. 6 by Schubert/Liszt and Hungarian Dance No. 4 by Brahms. I love both pieces, but I'm finding it difficult to get them polished to the point where I can play them cleanly each time. After those, I have a few classical pieces on my to-do list, including a Chopin etude (either the Op. 25 No. 5 "Wrong Note" in E minor or the Op. 25 No. 1 "Aeolian Harp" in A flat major)
@JoelRossPiano

Cool! Yeah, I get nervous doing well-known works like that. And nice selection! 👍

Great work on playing this so cleanly :)!! My left hand has always been very weak lol so I can only admire how easy you make it look!!! Ever learnt any of the Rachmaninoff preludes, or would that dilute the Chopinistic purity of this channel??? :-)
@JoelRossPiano
4 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much!! I always appreciate it! Yeah, my left hand got tired practicing this one. It’s almost like an Etude. Well....you know this a CHOPIN ONLY channel. Lol😏 I should check out some of his Preludes though!
@VideoBash2

@@JoelRossPiano Perhaps now you're ready to tackle the Revolutionary :D??? Now that really is an etude ;)... If you haven't heard/played any Rachmaninoff preludes before, I'd recommend (in no particular order) G major, B minor, D major (these three are soooo beautiful), G minor and perhaps even C-sharp minor (the last two if you want something more dramatic...)? Enjoy!!!

A little late, but in the beginning, around when the left hand’s mode changes to A, you briefly use the pedal. Is that an interpretation thing? If it isn’t, then you should get rid of that habit, because I know that the left hand there is hard, but if you cover up your mistakes with pedal, then you’ll never improve. Otherwise, though, the piece sounds great!
@JoelRossPiano

Thanks! Yeah that part is challenging, but I personally like the pedal. Gives it a different color with the key change. But I know what you mean. 😬
