Beautiful, I remember playing this piece along with the Nocturne in E flat major op 9 no 2 for a review. I got ranked Superior, that was one of my proudest days in my life!

Yeah, here is what Wiki said about her: "She was among those to benefit from a program initiated by Princess Grace of Monaco, which allowed talented children to receive special music lessons integrated into their normal schooling." After reading this, I felt this melancholic yet beautiful music also brings back the memory of Princess Grace of Monaco... Thanks for posting it, it is a memorable performance, I cannot describe by words how moved I am while listening to it.

wow, chopin could use such simple chords to create beautiful melody.... its theme uses the decending fifths sequence, which is frequently used by classical or even pop composers. However, chopin's craftsmanship created this unique, beautiful waltz

haha Well done Kimberly! I look around at all the fancy long nails these days, but alas, you cant have both I'm afraid, they're constantly hitting the piano keys or causing your finger to slide to a duff note?!! I'd rather happily play chopin with my short stubby nails anyday?!! Beautiful version of this watlz by the way.

Sounds perfect. I'm curious though, doesn't the original composition repeat the section that ends at 1:20?
@ssk2976
4 жыл бұрын
I had the same question. My sheet music repeats at that point too, but I've now seen several concert pianists not repeating it. I like to stay true to the music but frankly it sounds redundant to repeat that whole section again. Seems to take away from that very special melodic section when you play it again.
@Lifetap
4 жыл бұрын
@@ssk2976 I agree, it doesn't lose the essence without it. But take a listen at Vittorio Forte's interpretation. He plays it as we expected it, with the repetition and it's one of my favorite interpretations
