Awesome build so far and very happy for you! Future mods: Front/Rear lockers, rear winch, snorkel, extended fuel capacity. I'm 50/50 on a rooftop tent... I think you're ground swag is more efficient (lower center of gravity/wind resistance while driving). And, comms... I see one antenna, but, I believe you're a HAM radio operator, so I'd get VHF/UHF at least installed, and I also like my Garmin inReach for Satellite communication outside of cell phone reception. The best mod would be a full calendar of use, now go get into it and enjoy it! Cheers from Arizona. Pete - KI7LIL

It's an impressive rig, looks comfy too!! Quality 12v with long battery life makes all the difference, and a great way to have (lazy?) convenience while saving power is to put a motion sensor on the canopy LEDs. Those LED bars will pull power, so I like a motion sensor with a timer on the living (passenger) side and a simple door switch on the storage side. Good to see it out on the tracks and getting (a little) dirty!

The elephant in the room, to me anyway, is the Pajero. Its taboo with real 4wd-ers. Im not too popular owning an NT and NW paj. I'm not allowed to discuss them at family gatherings. Immediate subject change. What really is the go here? Now that the Y62 is irs, and it seems to pass the cool test. Why not the paj ? No seperate chassis? Key word being seperate. It seems to find traction where a hilux and 79 is in all sorts of bother, speaking from personal experience. Better 4wd system, maybe. Plenty paj's out there, try one, with a bushskinz lift kit and decent LT tyres. Nothing more. Something different from your end.
