I think he’s a fantastic player but Michael angelos precision just blows most players out of the water. I think it’s hard for even most musicians to appreciate. It’s over ten years later I really caught on when I watched a video someone posted that documented his picking technique. It’s a fairly new video. It made me see how clean and detailed he plays each note. In a way it doesn’t seem worth it because your average person doesn’t notice or see the difference between someone playing moderately well at certain tempos and it’s not a mainstream thing anymore. Meaning I don’t see an income boost because of it. I’m sure back in the early 80’s it would have been great but now people are so into rap, pop, and electronic I’m sure it’d be hard to win a spot in some big band because of superior technical skills. It’s more about what can be marketed. I know there’s a fan base for talented guitarists still and I’m glad because whether your young or older a talented musician is always cool to watch.

@guitarshredder2364 So what if he sweeps more? Sweeping is a fairly easy thing. Also, once you've mastered alternate picking and string skipping and you're about as good as Paul Gilbert, which they both are, you can't really get better at string skipping and alternate picking. They're tied there. Also, I don't think Chris has the pinky of Buckethead. I'd like to see him try to do the sweep/taps that Buckethead does. Not to mention, Buckethead is way cooler.
