What a beautiful and amazing documentary. The more you dwell in the life of Chris the more amazing and incredible it is! It is amazing to know of no movie being done of his life. It is such an incredible life! Additionally the Chris and Don story is a story all in itself! I am happy and feel fulfilled and to know that two of my friends knew Chris and Don personally. Thank you for the documentary.

Thank you for posting this! I just watched a Britbox movie based on Chris and His Kind and then went on an Isherwood binge. This was such a beautiful documentary.

Don's mimicry of Christopher's voice, which was apparently in full swing a year after they came together, always gave me the absolute creeps, to the point that I'm unable to listen to it.

@@MissPerriwinkle Odd, too, that back in the early seventies they wrote the script for "Frankenstein: The True Story" . . . let that sink in, if you will.

I'm just finishing Christopher's diaries (1939-1960), so it's good to see photos of some of the people mentioned in them: the Swami, his German boyfriend Heinz, Don's brother Ted, etc. Thanks for posting this.

What a charming statement / story of lives lived , and not a mention of AIDS That terrible thing that people of is kind did not live to see . Both lives lived together and in a charming way, and one is moved to say very well done . GS

Don turns 90 today. Best wishes to the eternal fawn with lively and sparkling eyes, who ran on the beach of Santa Monica, where his beloved Chris fell madly in love with him. Chris&Don forever.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

This was a wonderful documentary. I love Isherwood's writing; his novel, "Down There on a Visit," is one of my favorite books. I've read it many times over the years. His writing style is so crisp and clean without seeming at all antiseptic, if you know what I mean. The only one of his books that I didn't like was "The World in the Evening." Everything else he wrote was just brilliant, and funny, and poignant, and wonderfully humane. He was a lovely person, and Don seems like he was (is) as well.
