First time I’ve ever listened to Chris talk and have to say he has a fan in me after this. The way he defended his father showed what a high level of integrity and decency the man has and the that has to be due at least somewhat to his father.

It could only possibly be a shame to him if that specifically mattered to him - which I do t believe it does. He cares about those close to him and those he directly influences. He’s created a following that pays him very well based on a character. No shame at all

Been massively misunderstood this fella from the get go. Ever since the channel 5 days it’s been about trying to create a reputation and be talked about like his old man. It’s about entertainment nothing more and boxing needs characters like this to survive. Love him or hate him that’s fine but you just need to understand him. It’s just entertainment nothing more his father understood that, Jnr is trying to carry on the legacy in his own right. Boxing is far worse off without these sort of characters in the sport.

Real and honest. Always liked Jr even against the tsunami of hate he tends to get due to the media positioning him in a way to keep it rolling. Never understood the hate. Really hope he gets the W against Smith.

The segment about his brother touched me on another level and the way Chris articulated his answer could not have been any more on point, I lost my dad in may at 43 y/o after not losing anyone, this helped me massively, amazing segment 🙏🏻

Genuinely you can see a good person inside of him, the respect for the sport, his family is fantastic. I would actually like to see him win a world title for his own piece of mind and all the dedication that’s gone into it. Good luck to both fighters Saturday night! Hoping both men put on a show and come out healthy an with respect for each other. Chris wins I can see a trilogy coming tho.

Best interview I’ve heard from Eubank Jr , was a massive Eubank Snr fan but never really warmed to Jr, but after that interview got a lot of respect for him and now a fan …. What a man he is , hats off Gary Neville also for such a good interview

Always worth a watch the Overlap interviews as they tend to give a real interesting insight into the personality of a person we don't or at least rarely get to see outside of what the media provide. Gary's relaxed and timed interview technique really helps too as I always find the convo's just flow as like they would if they were just chatting off camera. 👏
My God Gary Neville is such an excellent interviewer. He really listens to the answers of his questions.

Great interview. Chris is a guy that has had to deal with a lot of pressure, family circumstances that have been tragic in some instances and he still comes across as a well spoken guy who seems to have no fear. Whether you love him or hate him. I believe just like his father when all is said and done he will finally get respect for all he has put into the sport. Whether he wins or not against Liam, I know he will give it his all. Respect.

It looks effortless, but there's a real skill in asking the right questions in the right way and then sitting back a really listening. Parkinson was a master at it, Nev looks like he was born to do this kind of work. Outstanding.

Great honest interview …. His upbringing shows IT WAS RIGHT … very balanced young man, I must say I felt parts of the interview was trying to lead Eubank Jr into stating there was child abuse…. His reply was 100% CORRECT ….. ZERO discipline these days in society AND THE PROOF IS CLEAR TO SEE …?

Gotta say I've never really thought that highly of him, but tell you what a guy, these questions, the way he carries himself in the face of these questions. Gotta I admire that. Never been a Eubank hater as love that they're different and, largely I suspect, true to themselves. Not every son can match their father's achievements and Snr set a ridiculously high bar but Jnr is game and tough so deserves every respect. Personalities make boxing better and there's no denying the Eubanks have been great in that regard! I was impressed with Smith and he is the better technician but I won't be surprised if Chris Jnr takes it on a late stoppage.

Brilliant interview. I completely agree with Chris about the ‘abuse thing’ Back in the 90’s it was how we were disciplined. It was the norm to us 80’s kids. Mess up- get a whack! That’s how we learnt respect for life. Hope all goes well for Chris tonight. May the best man win. I respect them both equally. May they both be safe in the ring.

I used to think Eubank Junior had a big ego and was flash, but I guess I’ve got that wrong. He just wants to box and work hard very polite and comes across extremely well spoken fair play to him I lost my brother last year and it’s hard so for him and his dad in the limelight, it’s even got to be harder RIP Sebastian ❤️🙏
