Chris - I love your work and have admired your skill since I was a teenager in the 70's reading SciFi novels which were often your gallery in those pre internet days. I am a lazy artist but you spurred me on at times. I have used airbrush but I feel the brush and specifically the mixing of paint on the canvas is the way to go for me too as it allows "things to happen". Please don't doubt your methods - you are unique.

I've always been drawn to your art Chris, I would often see Isaac Asimov books in my local library in the 1980s - I never actually read any of them until recently, but I made certain to track down the editions (I have about 10 now) with your wonderful cover art when I have purchased them over the last few years. I also recently discovered you had some involvement in Alien (the external design of the Nostromo and Narcissus I believe). I have long enjoyed said film, and one of the underlying attractions has always been those elements of the design. So thank you Chris, for awakening those parts of my imagination and inspiring me for the last forty years! I would love to purchase a painting from you one day!

Interesting to see Chris working with brushes rather than Airbrushes :-) I work in Games and I know Chris has inspired a whole generation of both Film Makers and Game Developers.

Choreographing colors can be challenging. I'd urge you to work with alkyds over your acrylics for the sky's, you can get amazing mixes, with the dry time overnight. Imagine working four hours to get just the right blends, mixes, and streaks, with the ability to wipe away totally, and get crisp, sharp edges!
