@@NikePatty I heard that he had a stroke and went into a coma and then died. Heard from someone who was closer to him that he was abusing stimulants and staying up for weeks at a time. I assume it had a lot to do with that.

@@idmfx yeah agreed i suppose they were definitely some of the first movers, for me back then Mark was doing equipped stuff and wasn't a great raw guy except for his bench, and Candito was more the education guy but with impressive for a light natty numbers.

Apparently having a federal prison term hanging over his head led him to do some crazy things! He seems to have emerged older and wiser. I recall meeting Chris years ago at a meet. He was very polite and articulate.

Chris is a cool dude. I live probably 15 min. away from him. I do remember talking to him on snapchat once, and he messaged me about the LA fitness I was at since he worked at the chain I think. Then he got real weird on I'm guessing on purpose, but clearly that was during his crazy times before prison haha. Surprisingly smart and was a good interview. You guys should have him on again later in the year for an update.

After finishing watching this interview, it's absolutely no secret as to how and what killed him. He was continuing this behavior of hard drug use and that ultimately killed him. Such a shame... he was a great friend.

@@devonspain620 I'm not sure the exact reason, but in the interview he says he had been taking stimulants to stay up for days at a time to work non stop. I heard from a friend he was doing that and more. Probably had a heart attack or something.

I think one reason people are making so much more progress and totals keep going up, natty or not, is training methods. A lot more people are utilizing training that incorporates more volume and frequency with submaximal loads. This is keeping guys healthier while allowing them to really practice the movement.

Well at higher weight classes squats start to surpass deadlifts because of power bellies. If you aren’t fat you’re probably gonna deadlift more, but for fatties their bellies get in the way

I remembering watching his old deadlift videos and being inspired way back when l just started lifting. I did 7 years in my early twenties I'm sober now lifting gave me something to focus on. Smoo7hy I work at a penitentiary. You are allowed $85 in commissary every 2 weeks if you got enough money. There are guys in there with all types of food. Just need the $$
