Yes 100% right! The reason I think its like this, may not be so straightforward as such. Men, including me could only know in our gut when something was wrong or smelt fishy. Then we search online and voila!similar stories. We then learnt we were not just seeing out own things. It was actually a thing. It was famale nature that was kept so hidden from men for so long.

He ended up with the house, full custody of his kids, and she can’t touch his pension. When he moved back into the house, she’d taken everything but the paint on the walls, (against court orders). Appliances , kitchen cabinets, light bulbs, switches, you name it. The kids want nothing to do with her. Think about what it takes for the courts to award EVERYTHING to the husband/father. I was re-watching The Burbs (1989, Tom Hanks) the other day and there's this scene where Tom Hanks' character has a week off work, and on the very first day, at 7:00 in the morning, his wife is nagging him about "not laying around the house all day," and "you better fix this that and the other," and "you're not going to sit around drinking beer and hang out with you friends all week," etc. Even as a little kid, that scene always pissed me off. She couldn't just let him have one single relaxing day without being forced to provide something for her. She couldn't even let him have his breakfast and read the paper before she started calling him lazy. I don't know why, but that scene always stuck with me and I see that type of attitude in so many women these days.

@@vivminecl747 My advice to you is to concentrate on you, learn as much as you can and then keep learning even more. Knowledge is the key to success. Then build yourself up by working hard to have all the things you want in life and always strive to be the best version of yourself. Be a contributor to society and help others, because in the long run you will reap the rewards. But never put a woman 1st, she will only distract you from accomplishing your goals. Because anyone will tell you that woman come and go. And they definitely will not stick around if you have any money. Unfortunately that is exactly where we are at in this world today. Woman are looking for high valued men, the difference is in the question of what are you getting in return. So don’t just sell yourself short and definitely don’t settle for just any woman. Men are generally not on their financial strive until they are in their mid 30s to 40s. So be patient with yourself and don’t tear yourself down whenever you fall, just readjust and focus on the journey to get back on the path of success. Most importantly always protect your assets. Meaning that if you build worth, then you better have a prenuptial agreement before the wedding day because that is where and when she can take you to the cleaners. Keep your chin up.

Well it actually morphed into this unrealistic concept, in the past when a man divorced his wife. The wife got screwed over. She was left with nothing but her clothes and shoes plus she most likely did not work so imagine being 50 with no work history in the 50s where women did not have to many rights. So laws was put into place to not leave the woman in a destitute situation which I totally agree with. If a woman gives a man 35 years of her life and he decides to upgrade to a younger model he should give her half the assets. But fast forward to now a woman decides to divorce her husband to live her best life after 8 months of marriage she gets 70% of his assets, the house, the car , the 401 k , investments. And in some cases a part of his soul. Now that's bull shit

In those times women were stay at home moms so alimony was understandable but now they are working and make up most of the work force it's ridiculous to take half a man's money if she didn't work for any of it, you can't have both modern and traditional benefits.
@richardbell1614

@@anthonyyawtwumasimensah197 I totally agree with you, your only misquote was taking have, because a woman gets way way more than half I'd you add every thing up, if she gets a good enough lawyer the man might be able to leave with his shoes and socks.

But in a situation where a man decides to divorce his wife for a younger woman, where is the justice there? He was also supposed to be her retirement plan because it takes two nowadays to survive into old age. The kids moved on with their lives and the woman has no prospects for a future husband because nobody wants her, so you see, it is different times today, it's hard to survive on one median income.
@richardbell1614

@@starrg5725 your right, I am not saying if a woman puts in 20 yrs of her life with a man and to no fault of her own the husband decided to be with his secretary then it that case she do deserve half the assets the house and the car. That's the price a man must pay in that situation, my problem is when a woman marries a man then divorce him 8 months later and gets everything. Or if a couple been married for 20 yrs then all the sudden the wife can not take it anymore and take 70 to 80% of the man's assets. She should get something because she put in the work but not everything.

@@richardbell1614 agreed as well, I can't stand anyone who will willfully hurt someone else because of their evil, selfish ways. The courts need to be fair and just. It makes no sense for a woman to get anything if she first of all didn't put in the time or if she was in some way the cause for the divorce. I never learned this from my parents. They were losers and deadbeats. My mom was an alcoholic and a feminist. Needless to say all I gathered from her was she clearly didnt want kids or be a housewife. She'd often yell at me "WOMEN ARE NOY SLAVES!." To this day my heads messed up about women being a housewife. Many of today's social issues are due to many of the sins of our parents. It was all for the money, corporations, banks, and crooked politicians all came together and pushed this narrative of extreme feminism, to get more women into the work field, more available workers ment lower wages, so more money for the rich. Other aspect was women not at home 8 hours a day the children were left to be educated by TV and Internet, when they came home they were too tired to cook and stuff so people ended up eating junk and fast food and now we're dealing with this obesity endemic and making rich big Pharma in the process. Women can't keep up with long hours at work and running a house, children, cooking, husbands etc so to cater to their frustrations these woke radicals come up with the victim game blaming it on the men and telling women to not marry and not have kids because they suck, instead of maybe telling them to choose a career that's family life friendly.

If a woman was with you when you weren't something, sticked with you until you're on your high career. Until she no longer has the skills required to provide for herself, alimony is ok. My grandmother was with my grandfather when he was just a poor farmer until he became a successful engineer. She was with him for 15 years even before he was able to be a successful engineer. My grandmother was so faithful, she never even thought of finding another man after he passed away. Loyal women that stuck with you through thick and thin deserve alimony, when things don't work out. But these women that got with you when you were already successful don't deserve alimony, no matter how loyal they were.

I must be the luckiest man alive: my wife married me for me. She wanted a man that loved her, that could provide, that had the same values and understood the parameters of the relationship. No hustle, no hidden agendas, no gimmicks or inequalities of expectations. Love, honor, obey; richer or poorer, sickness or health, 'til death do we part. Keep my package in my pants and she keeps other packages outta hers. Trust above everything. I am truly blessed. All that being said, there are others.....A LOT OF OTHERS...that are not so lucky or smart. Chris Rock is brilliant with his assessments and presentation of how things are, and how legal things are tilted in favor of the ladies. Assumptions are dangerous, but that hasn't stopped assumptions from being made. Case by case assessments help, but it isn't perfect; nothing is.
