Is it because our community is desensitized to violence and dysfunctional behavior??? A man in his 50's gets up and slaps another man in his 50's during a live event and its not a WWF/WWE wrestling show. It happened at an award show for the movies. The Oscars is like the equivalent for the Super Bowl, World Cup, Stanley Cup, World Series, and NBA Championship for the movie industry. And it was Will Smith that made a scene. The last person, that anyone would suspect to do so. I would have put money on Sean Penn to make a scene at the Oscars before Will Smith. For Chris Rock, I felt deeply sorry for him. He didn't deserve to be humiliated that way. As for Will Smith, I don't hate him, I'm extremely disappointed in him. I believe Will Smith to be a better man then this. However, for me, Will Smith needs to some heavy self evaluating as a man. Then he also has to cut loose of you know who. I have dealt with some manipulative people in the past and went through negative experiences. Very manipulative people will try to turn you into something you aren't and destroy your humanity. However, I don't believe Will Smith is strong enough to do that yet.

He didn’t deserve the slap but he also does not deserve the praise he gets. I ‘ve seen his boring set, even before the slap. He throws in a lot of anti black commentary, which gets laughs from mostly yte audiences. I can deal with a critique. I despise pandering though.
@clicheguevara5282

@@carrington2949 Rock is considered to be one of the greatest comedians of all time. ..and not just by comedy fans, but by other GOAT comedians. You can disagree, but it puts you in a TINY minority. If you think his comedy is "anti black pandering" then you're delusional and you _very obviously_ don't know Rock's history. Lmao ..because he roasts white people just as much as black people. ...and he literally quit SNL to go work for In Living Color because he was tired of being the "token black guy" on SNL. That's literally the OPPOSITE of pandering. You sound like you've watched ONE Chris Rock special and just made a ton of negative assumptions based on the fact that you didn't like his jokes or the color of his audience's skin. Maybe he's not pandering. Maybe you're just soft, too obsessed with race, and his comedy just isn't for you. That doesn't mean he's a bad person. You can just say that you don't find him funny. You don't have to attack his character as a human being. You obviously don't know even enough about him to do that properly.
