Tory Duda i think it’s fair to say that chris is very unique and is quite honestly a monster at drumming. however, you really shouldn’t pretend that luke holland “isn’t even near this level” because there’s honestly so many things that Luke can do that Chris can’t and the other way as well. 😂 point being they are both insane. i couldn’t tell you which one is “better”.
@kaimeier82
6 жыл бұрын
I mean, Luke is sick and honestly music is a matter of taste, but chris's creativity is just off the charts. I honestly have not heard jazz, rock or metal drummers that utilize the stuff Chris uses in a same musical way. Yeah they do it in drum solos and clinics etc. But incorporating it into, quite frankly, difficult to play music, but in a way it is still damn musical and fits perfectly, that's just mindblowing and even though some drummers match his skills, there are very few that are as creative as Chris in my opinion. And I don't think luke is as creative so, I get the comparison is not really fitting. And if you listen to OAA, it's not like Chris is overusing anything. Every song is very distinctive. And they're all very entertaining to me. I can't listen to them every day but damn they are unique and so is Chris.

I usually google the drummer and look for a resource. But yes those cymbals named are what he uses. HOWEVER, the Holy Chinas can be 17”, 19” or 21”. They can also be AA, Signature or Vault versions. Which are all drastically different. Hi hats are probably AAX or Vault, because of the clarity and bright tone. Maybe Xplosion, or Xcelerators. Ride could be a stadium ride or common aax/ aa model used in metal. Dry ride, raw bell ride, rock ride, xplosion ride, powerbell ride etc.
