Her speaking voice is just as beautiful as her singing voice. I could listen to her for hours.

The first time in 1979 that I heard Brass in Pocket I stopped what I was doing to listen to that voice. She was speaking to me. To my heart and my soul. I had found the music that made me feel like I had just discovered music. That day I went to the record store and bought the 8 track tape of the Pretenders. I memorized it within days and have never looked back. I had every Pretenders album, then cassettes, then cd’s. Someone stole most of them from me in 2012 when I became disabled and had to leave my job. When I went back the next day to get my belongings, my cd’s were gone. I had been working more than I was home so I took a bunch of cd’s to work . I’ve read her book and listen to it on Audible. Thank you Christie Hynde for writing and singing songs that make me feel like you are doing it just for me.

Yes - she's consistent isn't she? not like Madonna "reinventing" herself every 3 years to sell albums, using her sexuality over her Talent on tour Chrissy stays true to her music and who she is... Even Ann and Nancy Wilson talked about regretting the 1980s - they put Nancy in a bustier and fluffed up her hair with 1980s mousse... They put enormous pressure on Ann regarding her weight. Chrissy didn't give in to that crap. She stayed true to herself Isn't that cool? The length of her hair went up and down over the decades Tyson but she actually has a very round face - so I can see why she keep her had the same. I also heard that people who play the guitar? If you notice they don't change their hairstyles a lot - there's a comfort zone playing their instrument on stage James Hetfield from Metallica blew people away when he cut his hair off and started wearing suits I thought it was fine he was growing up... But a lot of his fans rejected it And I was glad they brought Trujillo in on the base, cuz he brought that big Metallica swinging hair back on stage That's what we look for and musicians - creativity and consistency Otherwise they're nothing but one hit wonders look up the thing about Rush Limbaugh in her song Ohio... It shows how seriously cool she is and true to her values of everybody just gettin' along And even bad girl rockers' daddies pull their Heartstrings

@TheFoolintherainn

She hadn't always in this way... She came from the pixie haircut generation... She has very straight hair - so it's just sort of hangs there unless she cuts it right And it's an easier style to deal with - you don't spend your life in the mirror My older sisters tried this...nope! But I'll give you a hint about older women - they tend to wear their hair closer to their eyes to cover crow's feet. It beats wearing a bunch of makeup and plastic surgery So instead of fighting Mother Nature, you Just Go With It - and you put your best foot/image forward. But since I'm TV? There's been far too much emphasis on looks - especially female artists... Nancy and Ann Wilson talked about regretting giving in to the MTV generation - they put Nancy in a bustier, teased up her hair with 1980s mousse and put massive pressure on Ann to stay Slim If you want a musician to produce music in their comfort zone, you don't change them
