in vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’” Matthew 15:9

one huge mistake people make - they don't see the distinction being made between God's Law and the man-made laws of Judaism. Huge difference. The Messiah makes the distinction clear. God's law is for God's people.

@13:45, you say the laws are all "finished". not true. - (18) For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished. Matthew 5:18

Hello Mike - Let me give you the quotation that I believe you are questioning: "The Sabbath, the food laws, the cleanliness laws, etc. are all finished and fulfilled in Christ." This comes from the quotation given by Christ in Matthew 5:17. The idea of finished and fulfilled does not mean destroyed, but complete. The law is complete in Christ. Please listen to the video again and you can read all the references that I gave to support this. If the law is not complete in Christ than salvation is also unfinished and depends upon man to finish it. And if that is true, we are in direct contradiction with Galatians: Galatians 3:2-4 (KJV) 2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? 3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh? 4 Have ye suffered so many things in vain? if it be yet in vain. And you are correct that the laws are forever. But try to understand how forever is used in the Old Testament. These verses are forever as much as the law is. And all of them are fulfilled forever in the “Eternal, everlasting body of the Christ.” The law is not destroyed, but is completed in Christ. Exodus 21:6 (NKJV) 6 then his master shall bring him to the judges. He shall also bring him to the door, or to the doorpost, and his master shall pierce his ear with an awl; and he shall serve him forever. Exodus 27:21 (NKJV) 21 In the tabernacle of meeting, outside the veil which is before the Testimony, Aaron and his sons shall tend it from evening until morning before the LORD. It shall be a statute forever to their generations on behalf of the children of Israel. Exodus 28:43 43 They shall be on Aaron and on his sons when they come into the tabernacle of meeting, or when they come near the altar to minister in the holy place, that they do not incur iniquity and die. It shall be a statute forever to him and his descendants after him. Exodus 29:27-28 (NKJV) 27 And from the ram of the consecration you shall consecrate the breast of the wave offering which is waved, and the thigh of the heave offering which is raised, of that which is for Aaron and of that which is for his sons. 28 It shall be from the children of Israel for Aaron and his sons by a statute forever. If you can give me a quotation from Paul, Peter, John, or any of the New Testament writers where they clearly say that we must still keep the law, (and specify which laws) I would very much appreciate it and I will diligently look into it. But all quotations from the OT are not really in the context of the coming of Christ. I do thank you for your comment and will try to further address your point in the second part of my video which I am still putting together. Thanks again and have a wonderful day

@@robertschut7896 brother, we were taught a lot of lies from Rome. Either the law is in effect, or it is not. If the law is no longer in effect, then why would we need a Savior? Where there is no law, there is no transgression (sin).

@@disciplemike1 Yes. And Rome wasn't the only one to produce lies. Germany played its part as well. And even many of today's evangelicals are passing on misinformation that they believe to be true. I very much agree with you and suspect that in some way we are trying to say the same thing. I hope that Part 2 will help clear this issue up. I very much respect what you are saying because I believe that you are sincere in what you believe. Your comments have already helped me to filter and focus some of my teachings in Part 2 to deal with this very important issue. Blessings

@@robertschut7896 I can appreciate your effort on the videos. I have made a few, and plan to make more. However, just for clarity, I am in the camp that believes we are to obey God's commandments. At least the commandments we can keep. I will watch this video again, and your next, but I think we are not on the same page.
