@@Jericho-xs3ju No, she's right. If anyone divorce their spouse for any other reasons than sexual immorality, then in God's eyes, you're still married to your spouse. Going to a court and signing a sheet of paper doesn't change what God said. So she is living in adultery by marrying another man. Jesus Himself literally said this. The problem is that people in western society are so selfish and quick to divorce, that they lose value of the promise they made to God to stay with that person forever. God hates divorce.

Hi Daniel- I have heard many say that “we become our decisions…” I look at our beautiful Jesus, who decided to serve and become the perfect sacrifice for the atonement of our sins because He was obedient to The Father. So, when we as disciples of Jesus, serve one another in love, when we as husbands and wives pick up our crosses daily and follow Christ, ALL things will be added unto us. We will bound together in hope, grow together in faith and withstand the onslaughts of the enemy with the grace of God covering our marriages. We have become one flesh putting all others asunder. I agree with all you have said so eloquently. May God show Himself MIGHTY in both of your lives. I give God the glory for you and your beautiful wife! With love from a fellow South African- living in the UK since 1998. We have been married 22 years and all I can say is that God knows EXACTLY what He is doing. Don’t you just LOVE Him?!! I have been married for almost 9 years now, have 3 children and it has never been a time that my husband and I worked at the same time, I mean either he was working and I was unemployed (being pregnant or taking care of the kids) or I was working and he was unemployed. I have a question about "fornication". I've come to know that the word translated in Hebrew means "porneia". It doesn't mean sex before marriage. There was a scripture that had in laws as fornication got example. My question is as there was no ceremonies or licenses back in biblical days, is becoming one flesh really just staying with one person after you sleep with them?

I have recently rededicated my life to Christ. I started attending church regularly as well as praying each morning for my wife and children before we leave the house. The problem is that my wife told me that she doesn't want to go to church and she often seems annoyed that I want to pray as a family all the time. She said she hates that I am forcing her to go to church and I feel all I'm doing is insisting (very politely by the way) that we attend as a family. I find it ridiculous to go to church every Sunday without my wife. And it makes it difficult to manage two young children in the pews by myself. I feel as the man of the household and a Christian, I have an obligation to ensure my family attends church and we pray. Should I just chalk it up and not push her to go? It grieves my heart exceedingly knowing my wife hates church and has no interest in praying. Very difficult for me. Not sure what the right thing to do is.

@@lst8009 You are describing what a wife should do . Not what a husband who is in authority and who is supposed to rule should do. Beautiful topic, I wish if all the Pastor, preachers, teachers will have more wisdom to speak to wives with great courage and boldness to speak to husbands as well. Most times they only try to teach husbands and please wives. Thanks for the very balanced interpretation of the Holy Scriptures.
@framboise595

@TheEric639 Wives are always adressed FIRST in every biblical marital instruction because the problem always comes from wives. Always. Genesis 3:16 Your desires shall be unto your husband ( = desires to usurp his authority) but he shall rule over you ( = he will overpower your wicked way). The Bible commands men to rule over their wives and wives to submit to them in everything. The problem today is that men LET their wives rule over them in the name of "love". Most modern teachings make it all about the wife when the BIBLE always makes it about the man first and foremost. God made man first , woman second. FOR man and because of him. But today they preach a Luciferian inversion of the sexes.

That's sad to hear. It's going to take a lot of work and patience to get through. You can set healthy boundaries between you and your in laws. Try talking to your wife that you married her, not her family and she married to you, not your family. If God and husband, children are not in top priority then there won't be any peace at home. Write down the problems and the source of the problems, discuss with your wife in caring way about it and how her actions aren't helping. Make her understand that if things goes as the way it is the future of this marriage will end in pain, heartbreak and unnecessary divorce. Your wife needs to able to say no to her parents if she can't then it means she hasn't grown up and knows what's best for her family ( it's hard to say no to parents especially controling one). Both of you need to work on it willingly. But seek God more, don't let troubles to get you away from Him but see troubles as big opportunity to go to God and ask Him for help. Pray that God will get you through these storms and pray your strength, patience and wisdom will come from Jesus Christ. Amen.

@@etchamree3580 thank you for your kind words and advice. I really do appreciate you taking the time to write and provide some advice in keep believing. I’ve tried negotiating and meeting these people halfway, but unfortunately when you are dealing with Filipino’s and there is money there, then they will never keep their end of the bargain. Those people don’t think like we do. The mother has caused this. She claims to be a god loving catholic but keeps telling her adult children that god has a plan, and it seems that god’s plan always involves herself financially benefiting from her children, not the other way around. I thought gods plan for a devoted catholic like her would be to donate her time and assist helping the people in the slums for the common good and the homeless sleeping on the streets of Manila. She would fall over in shock at the thought of doing good such as that. She is the biggest victim on the face of the earth and convinces her children that. I look at my wife in shock! I can’t believe she falls for this. This woman is the only person her grandaughter knows who hasn’t given anything to her. I must admit that she has been quiet for a while because she has been travelling through Europe for free, sponging off the other siblings. It is a sad state of affairs. I have prayed so hard but I just keep suffering in this mess. Also when my wife was going into labour all her mom could call about was when some money was coming back for a new roof for her house 😫 can you believe it. It was nice to see her real priorities

These days ppl get divorced like changing clothes. Marriage is very hard ... I almost gave up beginning of this year but thank God he restored our marriage. I've been w my husband for 19 yrs and am grateful that God sent him to be my husband. He's not perfect but he's perfect for my crazzzy butt 😅 God is good ✝️ ♥️
