Yes mom, keep it up all year! The lights are white. When I lived in my condo, I left my white lights up around my big dining room window that abutted my deck; so cheery! Now I'm in a senior apartment complex and a lot of us leave our string of lights on our balconies year-round. You can add specific colors for other holidays: Green for St. Patrick's Day, red for Valentine's Day, and my favorite, red/white/blue for 4th of July, Memorial Day, & Veteran's Day (found at Hobby Lobby). Enjoy that labor of love every night.

I built arches across a double car driveway. 3' pieces of rebar and 3/4" pvc was the only thing sturdy enough to span the driveway. I tried 1/2" pvc and it was too flimsy. Cover the pipe with garland and lights and you're good to go. The cheap dollar store handles and sprinkler pipe is probably fine for a narrow sidewalk

Love the idea and out-come yet I do foresee a problem with wind and rain. The orange extension cord is a good cord to use outside ( house voltage ) but because the lights aren’t truly weather proof ( low voltage ) the connection should be in a weather proof housing, which you can find at any hardware store. We don’t want to see anyone shocked by rain getting into the connection of the extension cord and the pretty lights. Better yet ( and there may well be one that I didn’t notice ) a ground fault outlet or power strip for the extension cord to be plugged into. Take care and what a wonderful and beautiful job ! 🥰
