Yes! That’s the great Micheal McDonald, the song is about a fugitive on the run. Lol! Great reaction!🎉

SIR-----------TRUE STORY -------IT WAS THE FALL OF '80, & I HAD JUST TURNED 34 Y/O ON 9/24. IN EARLY OCTOBER, I DROVE FROM DENVER, TO L.A., ON I-70, THROUGH THE MOUNTAINS . I SLEPT IN GRAND JUNCTION IN WESTERN COLORADO, & EARLY IN THE AM, TOOK OFF INTO UTAH, THROUGH THE SOUTH, TO FINALLY CATCH UP AGAIN, WITH I-70. BY DARK, I WAS IN NEVADA, & FEELING GOOD, I KEPT ON, MOSTLY LISTENING TO THE #1 AM RADIO STATION ANYONE WHO WAS ON THE OPEN ROAD HEADING WEST KNEW , 810 AM, KOMA IN OKLAHOMA CITY , WHICH COULD TAKE YOU ALL THE WAY TO NEEDLES CA. LATE AT NIGHT. SO--------AS THE LIGHTS OF LAS VEGAS WERE JUST COMING INTO MY VIEW, IT WAS 2AM, & THAT'S WHEN KOMA PLAYED " RIDE LIKE THE WIND" ! WELL ! DON'T YOU KNOW ! I PUT THE PEDAL TO THE METAL, SINGING ALONG TO THIS ALL-TIME ROCK CLASSIC !! ------OH YES, WHAT WAS I DRIVING ?????? I HAD MY 1970 CHEVELLE WITH A 327 V-8 , WITH A CUSTOM BUILT BOSCH 4 BARREL CARBURETOR , SPORTS SUSPENSION, & GOODYEAR RACING TIRES ! INSIDE, I HAD DUAL KENWOOD SPEAKERS, EACH WITH 25 WATTS OF POWER ! I HIT 110 MPH, AT 0200 HOURS, ON THE OPEN ROAD OF I-70, SCREAMING INTO LAS VEGAS ! AT THEN 34 Y/O, IT WAS ONE OF THE BEST MOMENTS OF MY LIFE, & A MEMORY I WILL FOREVER CHERISH. AT NOW 77 Y/O, I REMEMBER AS IF IT WAS YESTERDAY. --------------------MJL, 77 Y/O

MTV killed Christopher Cross's career. He went from being one of the top to forgotten in a year, because he was just an average-looking guy. You only got to see bands if they made it onto a TV special or top 10 type of show . Even then You didn't always see the artist unless you went to see them live. Talent came first back then. They had bands with good-looking people, but even then, unless you were Yoko Ono talent came first!
