@@yeetbro3659 it’s all about experience man, every director is the same you need to experience making a film, learn from that and make more whilst also researching and learning how to make a good film. Then submit films you make to film festivals where it can be seen by professionals and if good enough the professionals will offer deal for your film to be posted internationally and then hopefully be recognised by film producers. I did the same. I was a student athlete (played at D1 level in college) growing up so I never made movies or did things related to this do to my sports but I wrote a lot and played guitar and would try to create music for each scene. I was in some movie making classes where I was definitely the worst cinematographer and movie buff. I remember the first screening session and I went close to last and everyone before me had beautifully shot shorts but none had substance. Mine came very Guerilla in nature but full of story. I end up winning over the class and professor because of this. Story telling is the most important factor in movies. Not cinematography. Film majors are usually pretentious and want shots and score and epicness, me i just want to provoke thought and emotion through related content that will resonate with millions.
