Your program is really good Martial Man. I would recommend to interview Dr Yang Jwing Ming and Eli Montaigue. They are involved in Chinese Kung Fu since many years. Thank you for your commitment to Martial Arts.

Jonathan Fam Yes it's important to show that there are many different methods used in martial arts, sometimes people are using the same terminology but actually doing something completely different. Thank you for the feedback :)

Looks very similar to the style of Kung Fu my grandfather used to do. It was a tiger style, but it looks very similar to this one, with the rotating arm method to strengthen the arm, the grounded stance and similar form. I've tried to find out the style he used to do for decades but of no success. So this style was delightful to watch.

famous tiger styles are: hung gar tiger, with a wide rooted horse stance or bow stance, simple and repetitive movements but extremely applicable, short range of attack, strong emphasis on bridge-hand; choy lee fut, wide stance but very variable footwork, large, colorful, and mainly circular movements, long range of attack, strong emphasis on attacking with a swinging force; Shaolin, which can be very similar to hung gar but not so much emphasis on bridge-hand but explosive cannon-like forces. Others that do not sound like what you described are: XingYi tiger, Wudang tiger, and probably some tiger forms for styles centered around Guangdong.

Strange Law thanks for the info. I don't think its hung gar. I think he could have learnt it from Hainan Island or from an old southern shaolin kung fu version which may be rare or extincted. I remember recording the form from my uncle, so I'll find it and try to find similarities. Thanks for your reply

So what is the differences between tai chi styles?
@ryanbaker1028
Жыл бұрын
I truly hope someone has been passed on his knowledge or that he fas filmed every move and how he builds and focuses his energy, chi, and the force it into his touches of the pressure point, what food he eats if he meditates, why and what difference the anger/aggressive style when ypinger to now has on the strength or ability? What he feels the for d come from and why and how he lets ITIN and uses it, what happens if he didn't channel it out?;I'd hate to think even a tiny input,one move, one droplet of knowledge was lost forever and no masters left with the knowledge to pass it on to a interested party who will use for good and just to clear themselves and pass on that energy flow to others with

Why is it so that most of the martial arts come from Asia? What's the historic, social, cultural explanation for this?
@yymjyyobjka1302
6 жыл бұрын
cos they had to protect themselves from attackers everywhere; a large group of Shaolin monks defend for the dynasties' kings and subjects; the army had to defend against assaulting japanese on the coast; civilians had to defend against thieves, robbers and bullies........so, every style has weapons to practise and use against attackers.

William Ng shut the fuck up. This bullshit is obviously not real. If it were then they would use these techniques in professional fighting and in other competitions. The reason they don't is because it's bullshit. Eastern mysticism is fucking stupid and Kung Fu is mostly not effective.
