My culture (post-industrial American capitalist) is peculiar. The clock ride is a device modeled after something that tells the time that doesn't tell the time, playing back a MIDI rendition of a Bill Haley classic (covered later by Elvis) in a soundfont based on the Roland Sound Canvas, created by two American sound designers for a Japanese company and still found in the darkened corridors of Windows and Macintosh operating systems as the "Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth" and "Quicktime MIDI synth" respectively. So many layers of appropriation in so many senses, boiling down to this exact ride found in so many Chuck-E-Cheese's stores, that isn't much more thrilling than an elevator. - You have to consider that this level of "synchronicity" was unheard of before the 1980s. These samples have been used by so many keyboardists, composers, and producers over the years. It wasn't too long ago that they were inescapable on TV soundtracks, elevator/hold music, video game music, and more. But now, they're almost nowhere. But you probably carry around these tiny files in your backpack or satchel!

Very neat, wonder what it would sound like on my real SC-55
@kimbersauce

That would be interesting. Btw i used the compressed version of SC-55, the one that's used as default on windows computers for example. It would probably be quite similar tho!
