Betty used to be a gogo dancer in Cicero when she was younger in the 1960s ..I Grew up in Cicero ,I used to pass out flyers for her campaigns, and been in house in 39th and Austin Blvd , she paid us in pizza and free games of bowling at town hall bowl, she would visit the boys club to recruit all the boys to go door to door leaving flyer in Cicero there would be teams of boys ,,, me and friend would just thrown the flyers in the garbage and just walk around being bad,

Crazy how back then even Cicero gang members looked way tougher then these fanny pack wearing Chicago banger’s now in days. Bald heads, fade’s with shags baggy pants and jersey’s and chucks. And they looked grown and mean but they was like 16 years old in this video. These shorties now in days have no idea what banging truly is.

Most the old footage I've seen of IL/Chicago gangs they all kind of look like squares in comparison to like LA/California...These dudes in this video actually looked low-key banged out and active.
@mikewhite8848

@@DDIISSEE Chicago is unique in that way we don’t stick to one style for ever , the best style to me that Chicago ever had was in the 70s. They wore baggie dickies type pants with chuck Taylor’s with colored fat laces from the gang they belonged too plus custom high school varsity sweaters with their gang names and gang emblems, nick names and the street’s they belonged too all sown into the sweater, plus fedora hat’s while standing on corners Nothing square about that. LA got stuck in the 70s for a while till recently.
@DDIISSEE

@@mikewhite8848 Each generation of bangers in Southern CA looked different. 70s homies looked pretty different from a active homie in like 1994. Dont understand what you mean with being stuck in the 70s lol. Same with the black bangers. It just seems like there was no gangster uniform or look in Chicago. They just kind of looked/came off like normal kids.
@mikewhite8848

@@DDIISSEE rocking ben Davis and dickeys and chuck Taylor’s been a thing in LA for a while so I don’t know what your talking about. Chicago stopped rocking chucks around the late 80s. They started wearing more air force’s and Jordan shoes. Chicago stay updated we don’t stay stuck in one era. In my comment I explained the gangsta uniform from the 70s. Chicago is more color based banging, cause we don’t only rock red or blue, we rock every color you could think off. Your not from Chicago so to you they look regular which some did look regular but the truly active bangers looked like the ones in this video you watched. In Chicago rocking a shag it’s as good as having a tattoo of your gang, your advertising that you bang they will shoot you on sight, that’s something LA people don’t know, a certain haircut could get you popped.

@@mikewhite8848 Ben Davis and Chucks? red and blue lol no one is wearing that anymore. how old are you? haha All I said in my original comment is a lot of the 70s early 80s Chicago gang footage got Chicago bangers wearing bowl cuts and shit looking 'squarish' to my eyes...I didn't say they was marks...I wouldn't want to get chipped by some foo with a bowl cut or some feathered hair haha.

Betty Malteesse, was 1 of the biggest gangsters in Cicero, working with the Chicago Outfit. But there was tons of different gangs in Cicero in the 80s n 90s. How they gonna compare Cicero to Oak Park, which is 1 of the most expensive places 2 live in IL. 1 size house in Cicero, equals around 5 size homes in Oak Park. Cicero, Lyons,Brookfield, got 12st Players, that started sets,around 87,but there motherland is Cicero, then Lagrange had GDz, Maywood, Bellwood, had mostly black mobs, except some Kings. But you cant compare any of these burbs,2 Oak Park, cuz most houses are over 1.5 million dollar homes.
