I have probably said it on this page a few times. I love this duet. Mr Manilow has always been polite & just lovely when he works with other people. Never up himself. I never got to see Aunt Priscilla singing. Me mam did. Way back in 1964 in Birmingham, England. I was born too late in 1970, never got to see Auntie Priscilla live singing, or Mr Wycherley(Billy Fury) to you lot, or, Miss Kathy Kirby or Helen Shapiro. Think yourselves lucky you older ones, & I say it from my heart, you got to see these lovely people live xxx. Something I have said on many pages over the years IS: Thankfully, there is a KZitem. I never bother with what is "IN" or stuff, I just type in an artist or issue, & up they come.

Andrew Lang Cilla was magnificent live. I saw her at the Palladium, in pantomime, in cabaret, so many places - she was fantastic. I’ve seen Barry more than a few times as well, and he was always sensational. As for Helen Shapiro, she was tremendous and I saw her live in the 60s with the Beatles supporting her! Sorry you were 'born too late’ but I’m glad I was born in the 50s (although now I’m knocking on, I know I’m too young to be this old!)

She was one of the major singers Britain produced, & did some truly amazing work during the 60s. Even now-I think I’m right-no female singer has ever sold more songs; she had several number 1s in the charts consecutively; her version of ANYONE OF A HEART sold well over 3 million copies; & her version of YOUV’VE LOST THAT LOVING FEELING vied with the Walker Brothers’ version as one of the biggest-selling pop recordings in 20th-century Britain.
