Just a quick and easy tip for fixing your "banding issue" in post in a case like that IF it ever happens to you again 😅 you can just take a stillframe of the shot and create a matte around the area where the banding appears. As long as nobody moves into the area (like in this video), easy fix 🤙🏻 Also i wanted to say that i've seen every video you did and plan on watching all the upcoming ones since i enjoy them a lot 😄 cheers!

Ah thanks so much for the kind feedback! That is a great idea! I think on the wide shot that would work without much work. It would definitely be pretty tedious to do it on the side angle as the frame changes constantly throughout the 15min video. Will put that one in my back pocket for next time :)

Bro this is super helpful. Thanks for the setup breakdown. I thought the mistake you were talking about would’ve been the practicals being cutoff, didn’t realize the banding, maybe because I’m watching on an ipad😅. Great work brotha!

thank you for all the explanation and work process. manual or autofocus, and if autofocus what settings do you use? btw I have XT3 for photo and video work (in addition to X30 and X-E1 for personal use) and I'm thinking of buying X-H2s. My doubts are related to the autofocus... and I'm eyeing the Canon R6 MII precisely because of the Fujis autofocus “issue”. Cheers from Portugal and I am the 959 subscriber!

Thanks! F1.8 on the wide and F2.8 on the tight. Probably about 20-30ft from the back corner.

I was using the MKE600. Just run straight into the XH2S.

@@blasepivovar thanks, do you notice any audio quality difference among the 3 cases? MKE600 --> Direct to XH2S MKE600 --> Rode Wireless Go 2 --> XH2S MKE600 --> AUdio recorder like Zoom F3/F6

the third option will hands down sound the best as the preamps in standalone recorders are better than what is in our cameras. that said, going straight into camera gets me by in a bunch of controlled corporate scenarios where the client is less picky. the second option I think is unnecessarily complicated and would only lessen the quality and introduce more failure points / opportunities for issues. hope that helps!
