True. Many channels or editors just throw black bars, add boom sound effect and a LUT pack and call it cinematic..

Beautiful stuff man! Love the way you broke down the effects of "1 sun" into multiple components with 2 HMIs and the Godox. This is how you differentiate a pro from an amateur. Sometimes it was abit tough to understand all you said but we all appreciate the detail and care you put into these. Keep em coming

Usually, people with this much talent and good use of equipment aren't shooting tests and tutorials on cameras like the BMPCC4K, and it helps perpetuate this idea that you need an Arri or a RED to get a convincing "cinematic" look. Realistically though, anything with excellent dynamic range and color is going to be "good enough" for image quality, you just have to make sure the camera meets the practical shooting demands of the project. Thank you for showcasing how much is possible with very little, and providing this excellent breakdown of techniques!

Nice one , thanks, I bought the Zeiss 25mm Distagon a couple of years ago for 200.00 US and you just gave me some motivation to use it...Been sitting in a Pelican case for 3 years and never got around to using it...

this video demonstrates that lighting is 80% of the image cinematic quality. It's sincerely very hard to distinguish this BMPCC4K shoot from an ARRI ALEXA shoot. Great compliments for you job quality and for the channel !

Sir, let's get this straight right NOW. The nuanced light you paint with is not even in this solar system. The lighting I'm seeing is insane. My son thought it was a moving painting we were watching. Great work. Would have liked to see more color depth in the skin tones. A bit more of a warmer look. The environment was rich, I would have liked to see a bit more warmth added to the film. Overall awesome job man.
