Ingredients for dough:
1 cup warm milk
4 tbsp sugar
1 1/2 tsp instant yeast
3 cups of all purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup melted butter
Ingredients for filling:
1/2 cup of unsalted softened butter
2 tsp cinnamon powder
1/2 cup dark brown sugar
Ingredients for frosting:
1 cup icing sugar
1/2 cup softened cream cheese
2 tbsp melted butter
1 tsp vanilla essence
6-8 tbsp whipping cream
Directions:
Pour warm milk in a bowl. Add sugar and stir. Then add in yeast, cover and let it sit for 10 mins.
Take the flour and add in salt and melted butter. Mix it in a mixer or with your hands. Then add the yeast mixture into it and mix or knead till it becomes a soft double that’s tacky but not sticking to your hands.
Cover this dough and put it in a warm place for 1 hour.
To make the filling, stir in softened butter, cinnamon powder and dark brown sugar and mix with the help of a spatula till it reaches the consistency of a spread.
Make the frosting by mixing up all the frosting ingredients in a bowl and mix till you get a soft paste like consistency.
Take the dough after 1 hour and roll it out into a big rectangle.
Spread the filling on this dough and roll it out to give it the shape of a log.
Then take a thread and cut out 1 inch thick slices of the rolled dough.
Place these on a greased baking pan and cover with a towel and let it sit for 30 mins.
After 30 mins, bake for 30 mins on 350 F.
Take it out of the oven and let it cool. Then drizzle the prepared frosting on top of the buns.
