Can this power your stomp by itself or did you need to crux? I'm sure the stomp is 900 milliamps or so and these are only 660 out?

I did a lot of research to find the best out there and ended up buying TWO Cioks DC 7 (Reds)!

Does the DC7 come with an American power cable? I've seen pictures of it with an European power cable, so does this mean we need to use an adapter?

I am 90% sure they put in one specific to the market you live in. I’m in the UK and I think I got one with a UK plug rather than a European plug. That said, the unit has an IEC female socket on it, so a normal PC power lead (often referred to as a kettle lead) from your market will work and they are very common and cheap.

Hi, I haven’t tried the other power supplies so can’t really comment. However, the Cioks hasn’t let me down, has all the power options I need and you can expand it.

Ciok's will not let you down. Others are also good - yeah - but - take it from me, Poul has been in this business for almost 30 years. He has integrity in his works. He always had.

Not sure if I should get the DC-7 and just add on the expanders or get the cioks Ciokolate

I'd have a chat with CIOKS themselves. I have known Poul Ciok since almost 30 years. He is professional. Dependable, and when I met him - he already then built those power supplies. SO what ever you buy from him, it'll work for you. What you may need to know is more like - do you need these power supplies physically with a distance between them, or do you have like 10, 12 or more pedals etc. close to one-another? If you have an entire board (one board), you'd likely want the Ciokolate. Otherwise you may need two or more DC-7's. But best of all - email them - the chap is great.

A power unit with LEDS where you need to see the power levels why put it under the board and you cant see the lights?

It just has 7 outputs, but is you daisychain your wah and distortion/fuzz pedals, it's enough.

I have a qtron+ which is 24v. would it be possible to connect 2 18v outputs into one 24v into the qtron?
@cappmw
2 жыл бұрын
Hi, you can combine two outputs, set each to 12v then use a flex lead that combines the two voltages to make 24v. I think the EHX is centre positive so you’ll need that flex connector. You can read more here: cioks.com/products/stack-flex-type-1-4-2pcs/ So I think you need the type 4 flex lead, just check your current power supply has the 5.5mm/2.5mm DC plug

Does anyone know if one of these can power 3 elektron units (digitone, digitakt, octatrack) all at once?
@smrchk2133
Жыл бұрын
No you can’t. The digitakt needs 12V at 1A. Same for the digitone. The Octatrack MKI needs 6V DC at 3A. The octatrack MKII needs 12V at 2A. The Cioks DC7 provides no 6V option (to power an octa MKI). Plus it only outputs up to 500mA at 12V.

@@smrchk2133 I had a friend help me make a custom power supply. It wasn’t hard, and it worked. The OT was a mk 2
