I worked one of their gigs as a Professional Stage Hand at Rocky's Night Club in Charlotte, North Carolina in 1993. Club Gigs are always better than Arena Gigs for the Road & Local Crews. MAMA TEQULIA was getting a lot of radio play at that time. FUN SHOW! God Bless them.

First album was amazing. One of those rarities where every song on the album kicked ass. One of the most underrated bands out there. Studio work is flawless, but the live video is terribly lacking vocally.

yes. These performances lacked on vocals and marked a downturn in their careers. Your first big performances cant be "whatever" they need to be amazing and flawless.. They lost opening for Metallica back then witch should of been a lesson.

Simply the best hard rock band of the universe. Great line up! The Mahler- Sunshine guitar duo absolutely fantastic! (love Gary's lead playing and slide technique) Great to hear Zowie's basslines, Al's raw and soulful vocal style and Ryan's precise drumming! We need Circus of Power back!

I can't believe less than 500 people viewed this video. This band should have been huge. They were every bit as good as if not Better than GnR. At least COP had more than one good album. Although their catalog was very limited. This is a great band. Where are they now???

+Philip Rosenthale In 2008 they put out a Tribute Album,, Working for the machine..Tribute to Circus of Power..Alex is in a couple bands and writes a Rock column.. I love them forever.. Its pure shit. no one had really done in NYC. aside from Raging Slab..But if you just listen to how many mistakes. thats what big industry looked at. how many concerts they fumbled..This ones good. Ive seen Circus of Power totally not know the words and wrong guitar line.. thats ok. but reviews are important for future gigs, ,Im on the Tribute Album,..'cause they ruled and were once Rock Royalty,,

I stumbles across the old Morton Downey show that they played which lead me here out of curiosity.. I never heard of them before that and I was and still am a huge hard rock fan. Never heard of them until today. They are pretty good but his lead vocal is really dry. Could be they weren't using their own sound engineer for this performance.

I've checked a few of their songs and it appears they mimic GnR and The Cult. Perhaps it is a misconception but sadly they never lifted off.

Saw these guys open for Alice In Chains in 93. Masters of Reality also opened. This video doesn't do them justice. They fuckin rocked! (Then Layne Staley came out and was too high to sing and a riot started)

Saw them in Dallas at a club called the Basement on the first album tour. They were beyond great at that point. But different than this show. Alex was more laid back intense and the band somehow blended that hard rock/punk/groove that was loose and hard. Awesome live band then, band on a one night mission. A while after the show Alex and Zowie came up to the bar and sat . My GF and I went over and had drinks with them. Zowie was really friendly, he was after Charity haha. Alex was friendly but shocked when Charity told them I was a pharmacist. Neither believed me because I had really long hair then. Charity thought it was hilarious. Alex seemed to relax as night wore on, more friendly. We all had a few beers then they had to get on that bus. That band should have been much bigger than they were.

I remeber when I spend YEARS of my tennage days looking everywhere in Barcelona for their records. Founding in a second hand store STILL ALIVE, MAGIC AND MADNESS ... That was a heart attack. Also I was really in bikes and the motorcycle lifestyle. Perfect band for me alon THE CULT "ELECTRIC" and "SONIC TEMPLE". It´s a tregedy to look at these bands like, we look to the shows of THE SEX PISTOLS, or THE DOORS ... What the hell happened to the World? Hip-Hop? Too many Brytney Spears? Donals Trump as President? Funny how Alex mentions him, just like WARRIOR SOUL. At least a few, we have GREAT TASTE. CAAAAAAAAAAALLL OF THE WIIIIIIIILD!!!

[There are different styles of frontmen. Al commands the stage in the style of Ronnie Van Zandt, with his own unique personality. I listened to this band in the 80's and only realize now how unique they were and are. The bottom end is so heavy and swampy. Gary puts the icing on the cake. This is rock n roll, for those teens today who have no idea.]
