I love this time saving CML 2.6 feature. Makes it so much easier to connect to devices in your topology! Cisco CML 2.6 is now available! I spoke with Ralph from the CML team to ask him about somr of the cool new features in CML. // Download links // CML 2.6 release notes: developer.cisco.com/docs/modeling-labs/#!cml-release-notes Cisco CML: learningnetworkstore.cisco.com/cisco-modeling-labs-personal Documentation: developer.cisco.com/docs/modeling-labs/#!introduction // Ralph's Social // Twitter: twitter.com/rschmied_csco LinkedIn: www.linkedin.com/in/rschmied Cisco Blog: blogs.cisco.com/author/ralphschmieder Github: github.com/rschmied Mastodon: techhub.social/@rschmied Cisco DevNet: github.com/orgs/CiscoDevNet/people // David's SOCIAL // Discord: discord.com/invite/usKSyzb Twitter: twitter.com/davidbombal Instagram: instagram.com/davidbombal LinkedIn: www.linkedin.com/in/davidbombal Facebook: facebook.com/davidbombal.co TikTok: tiktok.com/@davidbombal KZitem Main Channel: kzitem.info // Menu // 00:00 - Coming up 00:33 - PATty // The new CML tool! 02:36 - How PATty works 07:38 - PATty demo in CML 14:43 - PATty summary 17:32 - How to activate PATty service 20:32 - But wait! Hi Dave not sure if you covered this before but is it possible if you could provide some guidance on what training material can be used for CCIE enterprise infrastructure certification, thanks 🙏🏻

After having a CCNP-ENT for over 16 years that I allowed to lapse in 2021, combined with working in Cyber for the last several years and focusing my studies elsewhere, I've been toying with the idea of getting my CCNP-ENT back. In tandem with that, I've been curious about using CML for doing labs while going through video courses. Have to say, this new PATty feature in CML 2.6 looks really cool! Nice video!

Seems to have the same features as breakout, server side rather than than a client on the workstation, which is nice. Not sure I am seeing the eaiser, more control - yes but easier? Not actually seeing its as cool or new - a refinement of the breakout tool in earlier CML. My CML license is up for renew in September, this may just to get me torenew, rather than migrate to Eve as I was planning, got a month or so to decide.

inspection policy doesnt seem to work when I use it in bootstrap node config. is it by design or am i missing something? kinda annoying having to configure icmp inspection every time i start a lab.

Should i replace packet tracer with this for learning?

If you have a computer with enough resources(cpu cores, ram...) or willing to buy one Packet tracer is good enough for ccna, a network emulator like CML is better You cant use packet tracer for ccnp or high and other vendor network certifications

If you are doing CCNA, stick to packet tracer because it is free. Once you have some more experience and want to go for your CCNP use GNS3, EVE-NG, or CML. There are costs associated with these so you wanna make sure to wait until you are ready to lab to activate them.

short answer, for CCNA: packet tracer.. CCNP / CCIE: .. general nexus-os and latest ASAv feature test and design of all cisco stuff.. CML is fine.. but SD-WAN, SD-Access you have to do some manual stuff.. multi vendor simulation: GNS3, pnet-lab, eve-ng

Can I use CML to emulate Labs to study the CCIE? Works SDWAN and DNA ?
