Hang in there brother. It sucks in the beginning. Always remember you get paid by the second now and safety is your number one priority.

Thanks for speaking the words of a true brother. Be safe out there. One thing I always ask myself at the end of each day is… did I and everyone around me get home safe today because of me or because I got lucky ?

Yes i explain the schedule for your first month in the other videos. First two weeks is forklift. First week is graveyard start at midnight. Second week, which I start Monday, is swing shift start time 2 pm. Third week is driving making deliveries. Fourth week driving on the flatbed. After that I’ll have seniority over some more of the new guys and I’ll be driving snd doing a little loading. It’s awesome here. Even without touching a truck I grossed 1700

I just interviewed with Bobby Thomas on Tuesday but for part time dock. I’m full time dock at Old Dominion but I always wanted to work union. Plan on working both until I’m offered full time I’d rather be union

Actually, with our pay raise city drivers can easily making 90k - 110k . And health care is free. And we have a pension? 23 years of service we can retire with about 6500 a month for the rest of our lives. But its ok! You can always go work for s company that will pay you the same but not give you any health or retirement benefits! Good luck!!!

@@xgildohx yea this is what I’m talking about. Pride holds people back from real jobs with the best benefits. With everything I’ve learned I’m becoming a dock and transportation specialist. Learning how to do more than just drive but making sure everything has been secured in the trailer and able to hop on a forklift to help a buddy out. We all look out for one another and before we know it we’re going home with Saturday’s and Sunday’s off as well as working towards a pension.

@@MrByTheMile absolutely my guy. Some people dream of the OTR trucker "freedom". I dream of providing a good stable life for my family.
