It's really something seeing a team in the groove. I learn in 45 minutes what took knowledge, expertise, time in field and friendship to accomplish. Now, having about 30 years on ya, I approach every tree with caution when working alone. Being retired I'm my own boss and remembering the Hemlock, I just try not the cheat the hangman. A big blow left the Hemlock 25' tall and 3'+ at the butt, snapped it like a toothpick some 20 years ago. It was leanin the right way, wedges I don't know wedges, what I didn't see was all the foliage that was on the opposite side of the lean. My 20" Mccullah and some time later, finally made it thru but nothing happened then boom there it sat perfectly balanced. Sinching the rope up it started to teeter, me pulling hard until I slipped, then the pissin contest was on. One more pull and sure enough the 3000 pounder was coming right at me, never did the dyeing cockroach so fast in my life, left a 6" divot in the ground. Thanks for sharing, you guys are great.

@@westcoastsaw1368 I love your exit plan Gordy, it's like get away from the stump before the tree hits the ground. That must have come from somewhere, a most excellent safety rule to be sure. You have been cutting trees for so long it's just automatic. Had to use chain and a come along to bring the Aulder I cut today around to keep it out of the creek. It took awhile, the quad helps run errands like when the chain is too short, I have a Honda Pioneer 1000 5-seater with dump bed, double clutch, fully enclosed and built for Ba Haja. The 5-acer estate keeps me busy most days.

026 is a 50cc saw. Hes using a 461 that is a 72cc saw. And im sure its FAR from stock. Im sure hes done everything to the saw port polish timing advance base gasket delete and obviously wcs bark box and filter you can see the 3 point dogs too. Gords saws are amazing. 026 IS an awesome saw though for what it is!!

@@LiveFreeOrRIP The 026 was the saw that originally made me fall in love with chainsaws. I heated a house for 5 years with one. I no longer own one.. but dad does. I gave it a bgd and a muffler mod. I enjoy running it every now and then. Still love my 50cc class saws. With a little work they are extremely versatile especially here on the east coast. I still firewood, drop logs, and climb/residential and my echo 501 gets a LOT of hours.

Clothes treated with .05% Permethrin either premixed Sawyers, etc or mix your own .05% solution from a tractor supply store(my preferred method). I am cheap(frugal) premixed either aerosol or spray bottle runs about $20-20z, If I premix myself and pour into a spray bottle comes out around $15 for 5 gallons.
