it actually makes me really happy to see such talented young people playing these kinds of instruments and being recognized for it. i think more kids should really persue music in orchestra, band and choir outside of highschool.

I've watched all the CDZA videos multiple times each, but THIS one is my favorite. This was a very interesting and entertaining concept to match the songs with the streets. There are so many "name" streets left in NYC, so I'm hoping there's a sequel!

that's not it though in new york their is a general attitude of if you leave me along i'll leave you alone, people do stop for street performers here, we are actually remarkably friendly, most of the time it's not that we are destructed or selfiish but that we think it's rude to stare or bud into there people's business

It's called a "C" extension. It drops the low E string all the way down to a low C (super super low). In the classical era, a lot of composers would just transpose the cello part down an octave for the basses to double. But because of that, there wound up being a lot of notes the fell below the range of the bass's E string, so they had to figure out a way to get those low notes poppin'. Some bass players even have 5 string upright basses, with the lowest string tuned to a C. That **it cray.

Oooh!!! At first I thought it sucked, but once I grasped the concept that it was September 11th, I realized that they were trying to cheer us up. So that gave it some validity in my opinion; in spite of it not being as good as the rest of their work, I still greatly admire the effort :D

Always love your music (some truly talented musicians, there!), but especially appreciate the pop-culture (of whatever era) references and verbal/mental challenges that must be met to truly enjoy the multitude of layers you offer us. There's a mix of all the different kinds of human intelligence/creativity/sensory experience at work in there ... and it's a beautiful mix.
