Yes! Alot are for Industrial areas like The Ex-Main, now Branch of CSXT East Tampa,Fl Street Running Trackage, Gadsden,Al Omnitrax's Alabama & Tennessee River Railroad( ATN ) comes from a Stationary Swing Bridge once the long wood trestle joins it, and then starts the Locusts Ave. Downtown Street Trackage through the Middle. Though it does have Crossbucks along the RXR @ each St., The Traffic Lights are Intergratted with The Rails & will adjust to stop automatically while the circuit is activated when the train passes it( or any other permitted to ) like other RXR work. At one time, it was Required to stop prior to each RXR for Safety! Albany,Ga on NS's Columbus-Albany-Macon,Ga Line has a Gated Outline of Crossings( so to speak ). While The Trains pass through the Middle, The whole streets leading to & from it become basically,"Locked"( figure" of speech, beings the RXRs have gates as said ). Lagrange,Ky's a BIG Well-known ONE! The Crews have been known to ACTUALLY STOP Trains, & Ask Drivers to move cars so They can pass by with the trains! Not to say, nothing like anything not saying has happened there or anywhere else. Plus, Another I know of is CSXT & NS Combo Meet Street Trackage in Augusta,Ga. NS comes from a Left side & onto CSXT Line & Into South Carolina after some interesting Street Trackage. It's now done by a Remote Switch via Dispatch & Crew Control in Cabs, but People in The Town would get mad when train crews would have to stop to ajust switch each way either time. There's a Modern Interurban( South Shore for Short )up North that totally runs Street Trackage most of the time. Stops at traffic lights and runs in the middle of the street! However, The City wants to widen the roads, & with that the tracks are detoured off a distance & its Street Running Days are gone( or at least that section ). And, last one I can think of is The CSS ( Can't remember its full name ), has some Street Running Trackage Up North Too. The Santa Cruz Big Trees & Pacific Scenic, is another I recall over in CA on its way to the Boardwalk on a Beach it helps bring people to. Actually has( or did ) a Working Wig-wag Signal! Amtrak California there too has some short brief sections.

Hey JT, those traffic signals at the Jct.73 intersection were showing a GREEN traffic light when the train was approaching the intersection. Should have been RED instead. I guess the lights are not synchronized when a train is in the intersection. They should be to avoid a potential car accident.

It's a dream hobby, pursuing your passion, documenting important living history, presumably while having an independent source of income. .. I notice that there is a crossing gate for the road next to the trestle, but it never went down, nor is there any traffic control, the traffic lights remined green, for instance. I guess it truly is between the residents of Franklin and the driver of the train to sort things out.

On some old electric steeplecab locos RK wore a striped engineers cap @ WEPCO. THe green boxcar is actually a center flo covered hopper that hauls fumigated silicates. Check other comments ftom JT and myself by Thomas Boese regarding that subject
