Purchased these Brogans used about 10 years ago and done A LOT of marching. This was my attempt at a home repair, not perfect but the brogans are back on the field. Welcome your suggestions on better repair techniques pards. --LT

Thanks pard! Most of the pre-repair advice I received was to find a shoe repair place ....as you can see I wanted to try this repair myself.

I actually did this kind of repair to an old wore out pair of work boots. I recommend for future advice. Try to NOT get any of the shoe goo to bleed out of the sides (apply a super thin layer). or exposed outwardly anywhere. If you do, any water or wet surface will cause the goo to start peeling quickly over time from the outside inward. By somehow clamping the edges of the soles together tightly, and removing any excess glue, you can avoid the potential "splitting" of the glue from the soles, thus avoiding any pockets that would form between the sole layers.

@@1stminnsharpshooters341 that's probably what those guys did in the field. I doubt a cobbler or tailor were with every quartermaster.
