The suggestion it might be possible to have segregated areas for Muslim/non muslim is extremely dangerous. Iran is over 60% Christian, but Muslims rule it with an iron fist. There is no 'safe amount' of Muslims, full stop. The only way is to prevent segregation, tell Muslims if they want to live in the UK, they MUST abide by British laws, Sharia has no place in the UK - because, as has been stated, Islam is a political ideology with a strong religious part - they are incapable of separating the two. @@royquick-s5n Islam is a political system with a built-in religious ideology. Sharia law is the political arm of the religious ideology. It is not possible to have two political systems in a free, fair and equal society when one of those political systems values half the people as less than the other, or when one advocates death penalties for things that are not even crimes under the other and one of them permits what constitutes criminal activities against the other and considers it fair game against the Kaffir. That people can and should be able to live together peacefully is irrelevent when countries like Iran, with only 36% Muslims, beat Christian women for not covering their hair, when Coptic Christians in Africa are killed on a whim and the desire is the annihalation of Israel and the genocide of Jews, in perpetuity, around the world - even in Spain, for 900 years, the Jews and Christians lived like lower class citizens and had to pay the Jizya to the Muslims & couldn't openly practice their religions. So no, it's not true that different groups 'can' live in peace, when one or more are treated as inferior and punished for not being the other. That's why Europe went through the 'Reformation', hundreds of years ago, to stop exactly what is currently being engaged in. Unless and until Islam has a similar transformation, it's impossible - and any Muslim advocating for reform is treated as a criminal & their lives are at risk. Only two political ideologies imposes this on its people, Communism and Islam - and both are extremely intolerent of anyone who criticizes them. I mean, it would be GREAT, but there are, currently, too many intolerant activists in the Muslim communities for it to work. There's nothing more I would love - I know quite a few Muslims, they're lovely people - but there's a very dark element even they don't really like & cannot speak against because of the intolerance of the extremists who would likely try to end their lives if they did. Islam means surrender, not 'peace'. Surrender and join us and you will be 'safe', not 'saved', 'safe'. That's intimidation, not an invitation.

The measures to allay the blanket fears and accusations of "ethnic profiling" bear very mixed results. Usually a lax police presence, leaving some very bad actors, usually blacks who have been long time residents of certain areas of cities, ( full fledged thugs who have been in and out of jail their whole lives, who make it their business to bring misery to newcomers to the community). For instance blacks like Somalian refugees, get targeted because they are meek, well behaved, keep jobs, no matter how low paying, send money back to family and adapt, but obviously they need the benefit of lower cost subsidized housing, but if they get it, they face being hounded, threatened and ousted by these resident thugs who are resentful because the housing authorities have had to kick them out for their not so winning ways. The upshot is that the police don't come into these areas to monitor these complaints, so these brutes just keep at it, spreading ugly rumours and letting their neighbours know they have it in for these black refugee people. Then these refugee people end up murdered in broad daylight with witnesses, but no one will talk because they are afraid of these unofficial black "cops" who get away with murder because the regular police force is protecting the community from being racially profiled. And blacks complain about collateral damage? This sad circumstance took months to come to light, thankfully due to the efforts of the man's sister, and took place in a small eastern Canadian city with a very small black community, though younger activists were "feeling their activist oats, and cutting their teeth" at the opportunity to get filmed as protesters. They protest, after the fact, of events like this that may be a PR set- back to them ( in their tribally anguished) virtue signaling. So much for compassion for real people, who can't even get police support during threatening incidents like this, especially the vulnerable people who already suffered tribal slaughter in home country and a long wait to get out of their country. I can't imagine what the tensions must be like in Britain, but the police sure seem to have left the public in the lurch; dropped the ball completely. No wonder there is anger over the ensuing chaos.

I cannot but believe that in many countries, some politicians are in fear of cracking down on Islamists; remember 9/11, look at the Middle East and our own streets with stabbings, rape, etc... it's safer to hope for some kind of truce which is folly as anyone who has had to deal with a bully knows!

Trying to place myself in Starmer's shoes and having watched his progress, I would say that, like all the political class, he cannot address this matter: It is not that he will not - he can not - the thing is unthinkable to them, nor is it a matter of urgency or ways and means, it is just that to attempt such a thing would be to part company from their faith, which is that they love what they love and hate everything that is not it.

This has been my thinking for some years. The words "the kingdom will be taken away and given to others" has been a recurring thought. I don't think the 10 million + souls that we have slaughtered in the womb had gone unnoticed by Him. We will pay the price and I believe it will be to put our country under the heel of Islam the same way as he let the people of Jerusalem be carried off to captivity by the Babylonians. "Israel has sinned" was often the opening words of the prophets before he told them the very bad news about what was to befall them.

When massive Muslim immigration began, I was not at all concerned. My attitude was “nice, law abiding, family oriented people who just want to come here, fit in and make a better life for themselves and their families.” I was first disillusioned about twenty-five years ago when having a meal in a restaurant run by a Muslim family. I asked the young waiter, a pleasant and helpful young man, which wine he would recommend. He replied that he could not say - that he did not drink wine, as he did not wish to go to Hell. Then why, I enquired, politely, if you consider that drinking wine will send me to Hell, do you offer me a wine list and stock a good selection of wines in your restaurant? Oh, he replied, with the enthusiasm and honesty of youth (I doubt if he father, who owned the restaurant would have approved!) since you are not a Muslim, you are going to Hell anyway, so it does not matter whether or not you drink wine - you will go to Hell anyway. What came as a shock was that, this nice, pleasant, helpful, young man took the view that what happened to me, however bad, was of no concern, since I was destined to the eternal fires of Hell.

have received credible intel that those who appear to be muslim migrants in the UK are in fact UN Soldiers. This is why Police have a stand-down order for anything they attend that involve these men. It is why they arrived in the UK without families & are housed in Hotels as Guests of the Crown. The footage of them arriving on boats was a carefully crafted movie to distress Britons. It is an Operation to garner UK Public Support for Digital Identity so Britons can "feel safe". The Operation will end when Digital ID is adopted. Like the Trump Assassination Attempt civilians matching the description of those you should fear have been used for what will appear like an escalation of societal violence. It is very important Britons that you do not fall for this PsyOp as it is the one that will hammer the final nail in your coffin of freedom. You are in a Fifth Generation War. Should anger be directed at immigrants and politicians or rather at ourselves and our Shepherds? It seems to me that we have deserted God and the Church and our Shepherds have deserted God and us! Bishop Barron has said that "ideas have consequences;" how much more so actions? Throughout salvation history, God's people have forsaken their faith, adopted alien cultures and traditions and ignored the prophet's call to repentance to withhold the just judgement of God. We have done the same and are reaping the consequences. We may not have the 'prosperity gospel' preached in our churches, but we live it! Katharine is correct, this is a time for fasting and repentance and only that will stop the diaspora of Muslims. PS. We should be having peaceful protests at the Chancery, our parish rectories, vicarages and every church demanding our Shepherds start standing up, telling the truth and call of us to prayer and fasting.

Conversion by Muslims to other faiths is forbidden under most interpretations of sharia and converts are considered apostates (non-Muslims, however, are allowed to convert into Islam). Some Muslim clerics equate this apostasy to treason, a crime punishable by death. Some states, including Iran and Saudi Arabia, still do hand out death sentences. Perhaps the best-known modern example involved author Salman Rushdie, whose 1988 novel The Satanic Verses offended many devout Muslims. Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, then-Supreme Leader of Iran, declared Rushdie an apostate and condemned him to death.

Most are familiar with the phrase "history repeats itself." As an outsider looking in at the terrific injustices visited upon the British people by the very people, politicians and police that are paid to protect them. I am transported back to the Chamberlain years leading up to the Allied Forces facing the Third Reich. Chamberlain promoted an appeasement policy in dealing with Hitler leaving his government and the Great Britain looking foolish and weak to Hitler and the world. Chamberlain had the humility and good sense to realize his errors and stated, "Everything that I have worked for, everything that I have hoped for, everything that I have believed in during my public life has crashed into ruins. There is only one thing left for me to do: that is devote what strength and power I have to forwarding the victory of the cause for which we have sacrificed so much." The politicians in Britain today need to find the same humility, recognize their errors and stop the Islamic invasion before an even higher price is to be paid! Pray that God will raise up another Winston Churchill!

Find ways to disrupt and draw attention to the colonisation of our sacred homeland. I would not support rioting but it seems to me we have every moral right to organise neighbourhood watch groups to keep an eye on Pakistani taxi drivers and the like. Ideally traditionalists should be moving to the same areas to consolidate a power base. In much the same way that the colonisers do.

My compliments Katherine, as a brilliant foil for Gavin. An impressive combination of authentic, deep faith and formation, high intelligence. and articulate expression. I can understand your deep and justified frustration at the radical and pervasive secularization of your country. I emigrated from England to Australia in 1970 after serving 8 years in the RN. I have returned there many times and witnessed the accelerating and conspicuous decline, by every criterion, but especially spiritual. Not that I ever regarded it as, generally, particularly spiritual but a certain Christian "decency" pevailed. I think you are right to lament the culpability of "the people" for the woes they have brought upon themselves (speaking as a people, not everyone) by kneeling before the world, as Jaaues Maritain would put it, forgetting that Satan is the prince of the world. There is no doubt to my mind that at the socio-political level the country has been badly let down by successive governments adopting a disastrous immigration policy, despite the prophetic warnings of Enoch Powell half a century ago and in utter defiance of common sense. They have also misused/abused their authority by giving legal sanction to evils including abortion, desecration of matrimony and next, euthanasia, gender ideology ... all now coming to a crescendo of Woke lunacy, DEI etc. Gavin says, with some justification, that the people are rightly angry. But they live in a democracy. I think, if I understand you rightly, that if the people had not turned from God (so reminiscent of the book of Judges) the rot would not have set in. They would have produced and demanded better government. They now reap the whirlwind. In 1976 dismissed Australian Prime Minister Gough Whitlam stood on the steps of Governor House and angrily declared "Well may you say God save the Queen. Because nothing will save the Governor General". Today we might say "Well may you say God save the King, because nothing will save the British people." Short of a miracle nothing less than a national metanoia of Biblical proportions would appear to offer hope. Having said this I must say in this regard Australia is only trailing a few short years behind the "mother country".
