Isn’t it ironic that the “tolerant” left who always call for civility, peace, tolerance and yet THEY are always advocating for violence against anyone who disagrees with their ideology, values (or lack thereof) and beliefs! Imagine claiming to have the moral high ground while genuinely wishing that President Trump would have been killed. Imagine if a conservative held up a realistic model of the bloody severed head of Biden or Harris or Clinton. Basically, like the Nazi’s (I know it’s overused but it actually fits here for this example) leftists genuinely believe NOTHING should prevent their ideology from spreading, dominating, and controlling the world and that includes violence and genocide. Everything is justified to make sure that their vision of moral superiority reigns supreme.

I’m in Toronto. A couple of hours ago, I was doing work at a cafe in a tony neighbourhood in the city, around the corner from where my parents live and where I grew up. Next to me there were three young women; one looked to be Somali and the other two looked middle eastern, although one of them also had an Irish accent. They were all wearing western clothing and spoke like western women; they had vocal fry and said “like” and “ya totally.” They were not wearing any religious clothing; in fact one of them was wearing a crop top. My point is to say, they looked and sounded like normal, young women who would have western values. Their conversation, however, was terrifying. One of them then said that she went on a recent date with a guy whose grandfather was a leading figure of the “Palestinian resistance” (aka a major terrorist) who had been killed by the Israeli military, which she thought was “so hot.” Then she said that she found out her date “was a capitalist with a nice apartment” and that gave her “the ick” because it was “against everything his grandfather stood for and was the epitome of evil.” She literally said being a terrorist is virtuous and having a good job is evil. She was also shocked that this guy, who was a Muslim, was “a homophobe and a transphobe” because he had “grown up in Canada so there was no excuse for those beliefs.” The other girls agreed and went on about how we live in a settler colonial system in Canada which needs to be dismantled, and that too many people of colour were upholding capitalism, which of course is white supremacy. I always knew there were these garbage beliefs floating around; I have seen my own friends and family fall for this ideology in various ways. But to hear young women glorify terrorism at my local cafe has still left me shocked, especially in light of all the events unfolding in the west. I am not confident that immigrants are still adopting western values, and I think this is largely because the west has abandoned them. My step mother is Jewish and has been harassed for wearing a Star of David- something that would have been unimaginable just 5 years ago. I am so shocked at the state of Canada and am fearful of the future.

@volitaire6187

The major flaw in your entire statement is your uneducated (and likely programmed) belief that every leading figure of the Palestinian Resistance must be a terrorist. The differentiation between the labels "terrorist" and "freedom fighter" is usually determined by which side of a conflict you are on, and those controlling the media get their chosen label into people's minds. For example, imagine this scenario: What if the USA had invaded Canada in 1948, and stole half of your land, occupying it after murdering thousands of Canadians, some burned alive as they fled. Our American soldiers even raped some of your teen daughters. Then after 20 years of occupation of this stolen land, we started another conflict, stealing more land, murdering more Canadians, driving 750k of you from your homes. Now it's 1967, and we are occupying 75% of Canada. Then we imposed harsh restrictions on your rights, travel, checkpoints, and subjected you to abuse from our military and police. Now it's 2023, and you and your family and your country has lived under this brutal apartheid from the United States, generations of you have grown up witnessing thousands of your people imprisoned without cause, or sniped for being too close to the USA fence. After 7 decades of this savagery against your people, do you suppose some Canadians might form a resistance movement? Do you think some might want revenge for watching their entire family being killed in airstrikes? Don't you think many Canadians would be justified in rising up and using any means necessary to push these violent invaders out of your land? In this scenario, the American media (and most of the world that believes that media) would label those Canadians who resist as terrorists, so when they roll a tank over your house, crushing your kids inside, or bomb 500 dead in a hospital , they can say "well, we had to get that terrorist.." But you would actually be freedom fighters ,and well within your rights by international law to defend your country and your lives by ANY means necessary. THAT is why the international criminal court and the UN Council and 157 other countries ALL called Israel's attack on Gaza a genocide. THAT is why those silly girls, who likely know more than you about the truth in Gaza, were speaking that way.

Female circumcision destroys the ability for a woman to climax! It often usually leaves sex a painful experience for a woman. What he means is a man can at least still climax. I find neither right, but the female has the much bigger loss.
@1234singer

Male circumcision if anything is beneficial to health and does not affect sex life. For some health conditions it is in fact prescribed. Female circumcision has no beneficial value . It is a mutilation to prevent women from enjoying sex and is done forthat purpose only.

Male circumcision defo takes away from "full," sexual function and also done without consent. For me it's many levels below female mutilation in it's physical impact but basically it's the exact same logic. It makes it harder to be consistent when you argue against one but on behalf of the other.

Being Hispanic myself, I find it so funny that other Hispanic people I know immediately "break" when it comes to discussing migrants, as if it is a personal affrontery to them and theirs. Whether the huge number of Americans who hate Trump are being rational in that regard or who is more deserving of that hate and distrust between Trump and Biden or Harris is irrelevant. Honest answer: It's impossible to know. Generally speaking, our first Civil War was a historical anomaly. Some people think it would go that way again, two sides with relatively little outside interference. Historically speaking, these things split a country into many factions based on things that are difficult to determine in advance. Religion, geography, previously existing allegiances, political opinion etc. You also get local militias that are meant to defend their specific area based on something like geography, religion, political affiliation etc. What you end up with, usually, is a free-for-all bloodbath with government as one entity out of several and numerous outside entities supporting one or more factions for reasons that benefit the entity in some geopolitical sense and not the faction. In the US, this is a great recipe for well in excess of half the country's population deceased in a year or two.
@AetheriusComics

@@strych9-oj9uz " Religion, geography, previously existing allegiances, political opinion etc." Totally. I get that but when I look at the people in the U.S. who have had the biggest social and political conflicts, when I break it down, the conflict is between hetero traditional people, versus non hetero non traditional people. It's far bigger than any racial or religious conflicts. In fact the races have far more in common on a fundamental level than the people of vast different sexualities. Things like: - conflicts of sexuality and gender ideologies being taught in schools. - conflicts in males who live as the opposite gender and what that means for women's rights. - conflicts in what our entertainment is teaching us in terms of sexuality and gender, - conflicts in the divide between men and women which is rooted in the sexuality and gender conflict, which is the core cause of diminishing child birth across races. - conflcts in the church is mainly about sexuality and gender conflicts. I mean it's a long list. How does one go about fighting in a Civil War when the conflict of difference is mainly based in sexuality differences, and all the politics that come with it? We can't even determine who is what sexuality with any real scientific means.
