TheBlindingStar I agree that the UN should enforce the law. It is sad that these people are losing family members and their houses while the UN does nothing. All I seem to hear is people wanting the US to get involved which is beyond me considering history. People would complain whether they do or don't. US citizens really don't want to get involved with this mess. Donating would be nice but don't want to be in the middle so hopefully Obama sticks to his word about not getting involved. But I'm surprised that the UN has really been soft on the whole problem (well I'm not THAT surprised) and has not tried some kind of compromise. They just like to watch it happen.

TheBlindingStar The problem with the referendum is that neither side would agree to a completely transparent ellection as they would like to influence it. If there's one thing I've learned about democracy, its that there has yet to be a method of voting that is free from corruption/manipulation, from psychologically influencing the public (clear ballot boxes, pandering, false promises/propoganda) to basic voter fraud (ballot stuffing/miscounting).

The "history" you mention consists of an accident during military exercises over the black sea mentioned above. In the Malaysian flight case, there is a different trend. Ukrainian military transport planes and helicopters have been shot down near Donetsk in identical fashion by the separatists just weeks ago. While the Ukrainian military does not target skies since the separatists have no air force. On your point of Ukraine killing their own people, it's called collateral damage and is utterly tragic. If Russian propaganda would be true, and Ukraine really did conduct a genocide by targeting civilians, death toll would be in tens of thousands, not hundred. Regardless, let's not forget who started an armed conflict in Eastern Ukraine and the conspicuous presence of Chechen professional paramilitary among the Ukrainian separatists.

I'm so tired of hearing about all these wars/battles going on it's depressing. Everyday when you watch the news there is always something new about Palestine and Israel then Ukraine and Russia.

There are three types of people 1)Those who callously start wars knowing the consequences. 2)Those who are stupid enough to fight wars. 3)Those who know war usually isn't the answer.

Also look at the extent that Israel tries to go through warning the Arabs over and over and telling them the exact places it will hit. Here it didn't happen, nor does it happen ANYWHERE else around the world by any army including Western armies as well. Only Israel does that (warn civilians and help them as well), yet the haters are going to still hate on Israel.
@RuanMighailPienaar

Civilians always suffer in war, on purpose or by accident, for thousands of years its been like this. I saw the videos in the beginning of this conflict, some of these civilian had such hate for others even asking their children to fight, and vica versa when people died on the maidan. If you live by the sword you will die by it. With war this is the only out come, both will have loss one side more than the other. Just hope this does not become a cycle of hate like in so many parts of the world. It hasn't solved anything and it wont. My heart goes out, to that guy at the end, wish that for no one. I hope he can find peace, and not hate and revenge. He will truly win when he can he break the cycle and bring peace to his country. Hardest thing is to do is forgive, like Mandela who forgave his captures, and turned a country around on brink of civil war. May Ukraine find peace.
